is a 2027 prospect that probably isn’t being talked about enough in the 6A-1 landscape. He’s been an absolute menace against 6A-1 competition over the last two seasons and shows no signs of slowing down. He’s also a prospect that we need to get eyes on in person. We’ve seen the film and we’ve seen the highlights and you see him running up and down the field against some really solid opponents. But we haven’t had the chance to see him up close and really watch him go to work and get a feel for his overall size. But there is no doubt that Adams is one of the top running backs in this class just when you consider the production and the level of competition he’s playing against. Adams jumped up 15 spots in the latest ranking update and is now #43 overall and continues climbing the running back charts and there’s a good chance he’s not done here.

is fresh off a breakout sophomore season. Looking back at some of our notes from this time last year, we didn’t know much about Adams but that quickly changed. Adams would lead the Lions and their balanced rushing attack with nearly 900 yards and 12 touchdowns. Now, we expect Adams to see his production go up in a major way. They had four players that had more than 50 carries in 2024 and three have graduated. Adams carried the ball 162 times last season and that number could easily go over 200 this season. He has potential to be one of the top backs in 6A-1 this fall.

is the first of two running backs to move up the 2027 ranks. Adams jumped up 19 spots in our latest ranking update. He was on our radar earlier this year after having a very productive sophomore season. But the more we dove into his film and talking with other people that are more familiar with Adams’ game, the more convinced we were that we had to bump him up a bit. Adams is incredibly shifty in the open field and that will be an interesting thing to watch this season. The Lions won’t be lacking that speed and overall playmaking ability this season so it’ll be fun to see what they do with it. Almost all of our work on Adams up to this point has been based on watching him on film. We’re definitely circling him as a player we need to see in person at some point this fall.

was a name that we didn’t know much about. The Lions have a strong running game but they use multiple players, including guys lining up at quarterback. But as we continue through the second half of the season, Adams is the leading rusher for the Lions. He had two monster games earlier in the season that got our attention and he’s a guy to keep an eye on moving forward. Now, similar to some other running backs in this class, there is still more work to do but Adams is definitely off to a good start this fall.
