Senior running back and linebacker Kenny Golston Kenny Golston 6'1" | 210 lbs | ATH/LB Valliant | 2026 State OK is going into his fourth season as a starter. There simply won’t be many players in Class 2A-2 that are as experienced as Golston. Last season, Golston would run for just over 1,100 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season. He’s been a star for the Bulldogs since his freshman season and now he’s looking to help lead Valliant to new heights this season. Golston will join Dorries in the backfield and between these two guys, they could combine for well over 2,000 yards on the ground. Earlier this offseason, Golston announced his commitment to Idaho.

Golston has been an absolute monster at the running back position for three seasons now. The southeastern Oklahoma standout has earned the attention of college programs all over the country. Every time we’ve seen Golston in person, he’s routinely been one of the best football players on that field. Now, we’ve consistently had Golston rated as a running back in these 2026 rankings. However, it’s pretty clear that Golston needs to be considered as an overall athlete because colleges are starting to look at Golston as a linebacker when it comes to the next level. With most prospects who shine on both sides of the ball, we typically lean one way or the other but with Golston, we think he’ll be successful on either side and it’s 50-50 at this point for us.

Valliant running back Kenny Golston Kenny Golston 6'1" | 210 lbs | ATH/LB Valliant | 2026 State OK is another 2026 prospect that has been on our radar since his freshman season. And this year, Golston has continued to be an absolute beast in southeastern Oklahoma. Over the last month, Golston has been a touchdown machine and is incredibly tough to slow down in one on one situations. Now, the thing that is very intriguing about Golston as a prospect moving forward is his position. Right now, we have Golston listed as a running back and that’s all he’s been for us over the last three seasons. But The Valliant standout is starting to get offered by D1 programs as a linebacker and we can definitely see him fitting in nicely on the defensive side of the ball. But for now, we’re keeping him at the running back position.

Golston has been a dude since he was a freshman two years ago. It looked pretty clear then that Golston was primed for big things during his high school career. This offseason has been a busy one for him as he has truly emerged as one of the top prospects in the state’s 2026 class. Golston has received multiple offers over the last six months. Golston will also be a nightmare for opponents on defense. After watching Golston in person a handful of times this offseason, we’re convinced that he’s going to be one of the top playmakers in 2A-2 football this season.

Golston has been a guy to watch within this class since his freshman season at Valliant. And the Bulldogs have a new head coach that is used to having one of the best running backs in the state from his last stop. So we’re fired up to see what kind of production he has this season. Golston has seen his recruitment start to really take off this offseason. Some of the top programs in the country have either offered or are very interested. Golston is a great looking running back and has a very bright future.
