This was one of everyone's favorite series last season, so we're going to bring it back once again! Stars Of The State highlights some of the biggest offensive performances across North Carolina throughout the whole game slate for the week! In Week 1, there were some incredible games for players all over the state, and throughout the season, you can always send your stats and film to me on Twitter/X at @pepman704 for consideration in this article.

As we did last season, we will list everyone and provide some specific feedback on select players throughout the article. Congratulations to all the players who were selected! Great job!

[player_tooltip player_id='1608301' first='Jamari' last='Glover'] - Palisades - 15 Carries for 143 Yards and Two Touchdowns in victory over Ashbrook - The Pumas were looking for someone to step into some big shoes at the running back spot, and Jamari got them off to a great start, providing balance for what should be a strong passing attack all season long.

Antonio Jenkins - Hopewell - Five Touchdown Passes and Rushing Touchdown in victory over East Meck - I spoke with a Hopewell coach, and the team really believes in Antonio's playmaking ability, and I thought he was really impressive in making plays from both inside and outside of the pocket as a dual-threat player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2153072' first='Carter' last='Clifford'] - North Meck - 250 All-Purpose Yards and Three Touchdown Passes in victory over Rocky River - I had a chance to speak with Carter about his performance!

https://twitter.com/pepman704/status/2092426103352664304?s=20

Smith Barlowe - Parkwood - 249 Passing Yards, 3 TD's plus 79 Rushing Yards and 3 Rushing TD's in victory over Piedmont

[player_tooltip player_id='1678655' first='Jahmere' last='Anderson'] - Hough - Two Touchdown Receptions in victory over Northwestern - Jahmere showed how valuable he's going to be to the Huskies this season, coming up huge in a game that was high-pressure, high-level, and very defensive oriented with two big catches for touchdowns when they really needed them the most. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets on some Power 4 radars before his senior season is over.

[player_tooltip player_id='1781963' first='Truth' last='Caesar'] - Cardinal Gibbons - 7 Carries for 111 Rushing Yards and 3 Rushing Touchdowns in victory over Dudley

[player_tooltip player_id='2003772' first='Tyson' last='Douglas-Brown'] - Corvian - 280 Passing Yards and 3 Touchdowns in victory over Asheville School - After recently being offered by Auburn, Douglas-Brown went out and showed why he's growing into a national recruit. His passing has grown exponentially since last season, and he's on his way to a big year for the Cardinals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1151256' first='Levi' last='Morales'] - West Forsyth - 326 Passing Yards and 4 Touchdown Passes in victory over Davie County

Jabraylan Patterson - West Iredell - 354 Passing Yards and 3 Touchdowns in victory over East Burke

[player_tooltip player_id='2071210' first='Micah' last='Crenshaw'] - Metrolina Christian - 3 Total Touchdowns - 2 Rushing, 1 Receiving, 104 Total Yards vs. Christ The King

[player_tooltip player_id='1627014' first='Irvin' last='Thompson'] - Highland Tech - 5 Receptions, 200 Yards, 3 Touchdowns plus Interception vs. Langtree - The dedication Irvin has shown to a program like Highland Tech is more than admirable; it's impressive. At 6'4 and 200 pounds, he's a real college-level talent and the only threat offensively typically for the Rams, yet he's still able to go out and put up high-level production.

[player_tooltip player_id='1333973' first='Javon' last='Boyd'] - Mountain Island - 2 Touchdown Passes and 1 Touchdown Run in a victory over Lincoln Charter

[player_tooltip player_id='1607055' first='Ryyan' last='Coley'] - Overhills - 3 Touchdown Receptions, 135 Receiving Yards in victory over Southern Lee

[player_tooltip player_id='1321007' first='Jamouri' last='Nichols'] - Chambers - Over 300 Total Yards of Offense and 4 Touchdowns in victory over Gray Collegiate - The former West Charlotte quarterback showed the same dual-threat and creative ability in Week 1 against a good Gray Collegiate team out of South Carolina. If the Chambers offense looks like this week in and week out, this team is going to be a dangerous contender in 8A no one wants to see come playoff time.

[player_tooltip player_id='2129288' first='Luke' last='Untereker'] - Hickory Ridge - 9 Receptions, 180 Receiving Yards, and Receiving Touchdown vs. Providence

[player_tooltip player_id='1224735' first='Carter' last='Stevens'] - Christ The King - 3 Total Touchdowns, 2 Receiving, 1 Rushing, & 7 Tackles in win over Metrolina Christian

[player_tooltip player_id='2146844' first='Nicolas' last='Bocciardi'] - Middle Creek - 9 Receptions, 196 Yards, 4 Receiving Touchdowns in victory over Fuquay-Varina

[player_tooltip player_id='2220838' first='Khedric' last='Bell'] - Piedmont - 136 Receiving Yards and a receiving touchdown versus Parkwood

[player_tooltip player_id='2206358' first='CJ' last='Hill'] - Bessemer City - 8 Receptions For 110 Yards and a Receiving Touchdown versus Pine Lake

Khy'lieb Rodriguez - Ardrey Kell - 4 Total Touchdowns and 200 All-Purpose Yards in victory over Cuthbertson - Quietly committed to NC State, Khy'lieb showed why with this performance. He has blazing speed, and he was able to get out into the open field both in the screen game and deep downfield with the passing game. Teams are going to have to commit multiple defenders to him to slow him down, and that should open up the Knights offense even more.

[player_tooltip player_id='2345858' first='Bryan' last='Inneh'] - Ballantyne Ridge - 24 Carries for 306 Yards and 3 Touchdowns versus Lake Wylie

[player_tooltip player_id='2264843' first='Makhi' last='Massey'] - Forest Hills - 136 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 124 Rushing Yards, 4 Rush TD's - All in 1 Half in win vs Salisbury

[player_tooltip player_id='1678624' first='Zahir' last='Wilson'] - East Mecklenburg - 7 Receptions for 136 Receiving Yards and a 2-point conversion. vs. Hopewell

[player_tooltip player_id='2104500' first='Kyngston' last='Denson'] - North Buncombe - 188 Rushing Yards and 3 Rushing Touchdowns vs. Cherokee - Even though his team lost a wild game 66-60 in multiple overtimes, Kyngston picked up right where he left off from last season with another strong performance on the ground. He runs with a nice combination of power and speed, and he's going to be another important piece of that offensive attack once again this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2206330' first='Lemar' last='Grier'] - AL Brown - 172 Rushing Yards and 3 Touchdowns in victory over Porter Ridge

[player_tooltip player_id='1616159' first='Aaron' last='Sadler'] - Green Level - 147 Receiving Yards, 2 Touchdowns, 92 Rushing Yards, Kick Return TD, 13 Tackles vs. Athens Drive

Jack Blakeslee - Piedmont - 328 Passing Yards, 3 Touchdowns, and 31 Rushing Yards vs. Parkwood

[player_tooltip player_id='1041542' first='Ty' last='Sigler'] - Community School of Davidson - 186 Passing Yards, 2 Passing Touchdowns, 1 Rushing Touchdown vs. N. Stanly

[player_tooltip player_id='2167311' first='Nasir' last='Conrad'] - Walkertown - 143 Rushing Yards, 3 Rushing Touchdowns, Punt Return TD in victory over Atkins

[player_tooltip player_id='2155231' first='Hezekiah' last='Joiner'] - RS Central - 115 Receiving Yards, 2 Touchdowns, 3 Tackles, Pass Breakup in win over McDowell

[player_tooltip player_id='2210033' first='Easton' last='Roschke'] - Langtree - 286 Passing Yards, 7 Passing TDs, 69 Rushing Yards, 1 Rush TD in win over Highland Tech

AJ McClain - Ashbrook - 171 Passing Yards, 3 Passing TD;s, 71 Rushing Yards, 1 Rush TD vs. Palisades

[player_tooltip player_id='1149032' first='Marcus' last='Sales'] - Cannon - 129 Receiving Yards, 4 Receiving Touchdowns, Kick Return TD in victory over HP Christian - Committed to play college football at Ohio, Marcus showed his dynamic ability all over the field, accounting for 30 of his team's 42 points in their Week 1 victory. Marcus can win consistently against one-on-one coverage, and he's very slippery and fast in the open field, and I suspect most teams going forward aren't going to kick to him to avoid trying to prevent kickoff returns for touchdowns against them.

[player_tooltip player_id='2068535' first='Jake' last='Robbins'] - Marvin Ridge - 11 Carries, 150 Rushing Yards, 4 Rushing Touchdowns in victory over Cox Mill

[player_tooltip player_id='1610601' first='Cole' last='Cater'] - Providence Day - 267 Passing Yards, 3 Passing Touchdowns Plus Rushing TD in win over Myers Park

Tiras Meaders - East Mecklenburg - KO Return For Touchdown, 2 Other TDs Called Back - TD Run & Punt Return vs. Hopewell

[player_tooltip player_id='1277008' first='Caleb' last='Smith'] - Stuart Cramer - Perfect Game On Extra Points with 6, plus 2 Touchbacks in win over Forestview

[player_tooltip player_id='1706428' first='Aidan' last='Flynn'] - Charlotte Catholic - Personal Record 49 Yard Field Goal in victory over South Mecklenburg

Cruz Scott - Shelby - 238 Passing Yards and Touchdown Pass - Smart Play and Decisions in win over Kings Mountain - The sophomore quarterback showed excellent decision-making and did not have any turnovers against a talented Kings Mountain team in a high-pressure rivalry game in Week 1. I thought Cruz did a great job in distributing the ball to multiple targets with good poise and overall accuracy in the passing game.

Andre Ramseur - Mountain Island - 95 Yard Kickoff Return TD and Game-Sealing Interception in victory over Lincoln Charter

Great job!
