Sales is actually newer to our rankings, but we love the way he plays. A versatile two-way player, Sales can fly, and if he catches the ball in stride, it’s extremely difficult for defenders to catch him. Sales impacted the game in all three phases, excelling as a kick returner and defensive back in addition to the 1,100 receiving yards he put up for Cannon.

Marcus had an incredible statistical season last year that I don’t think a lot of people in the Charlotte area were aware of. 69 catches for 1,131 yards and 18 touchdowns are some remarkable numbers. What makes it even more impressive is that opposing defenses knew he was the guy to stop, and Marcus still was able to consistently produce week in and week out. Marcus wins consistently against 1 on 1 coverage against defensive backs with both speed and vertical ability to high point the football. College football programs have taken notice of this ability as well as Marcus has received recent offers from Ohio, Old Dominion, Army, Navy, Buffalo, and Ke

70 catches, over 1100 yards receiving, 18 touchdowns, and over 1800 all-purpose yards. Those numbers make you do a double take, because that is some really impressive production from a receiver. That production has caught the eye of some college football programs as well, with recent offers coming from Buffalo, Kent State, East Carolina, and UTSA. Marcus has a full package in his bag as a wife receiver – his speed first and foremost allows him to win down the field. He can win over the top against slow defensive backs, and the threat of that allows him to win on short and intermediate routes against defenses as well. As if that wasn’t enough, Marcus can also play defensive back at a high level. But, I like him best with the ball in his hands and he’s a very strong candidate for this 704 Junior Bowl team.

We have Marcus in the Athlete category, but I like him more as a receiver at this point in his career. Marcus has some Division 1 offers on the table, and as a receiver he is strong in his route running and catching the football overall. Marcus moves with conviction and confidence in his routes, and he excels at gaining separation from defensive backs. Marcus is also an asset as a returner on Special Teams, and as an added plus he is a.good defensive back as well.

Marcus started on both sides of the ball for the Chargers, but he made a bigger impact defensively on the game. Marcus was able to play some good coverage on Lions’ receivers and showed the ability to make tackles in open space from his defensive back position.
