Overhills | 2027 StateNC is a true game-breaker with elite speed and home-run ability every time he touches the football. The explosive playmaker can score from anywhere on the field, whether it’s on offense, kickoff returns, or punt returns. Coley’s speed forces defenses to account for him on every snap, and once he gets a step on a defender, he’s gone. He showcased that big-play ability last season with a 100-yard receiving game and an 8-catch performance, proving he can be a high-volume target as well as a deep threat. With the ability to take the top off a defense and change a game in an instant, he’s one of the most dangerous weapons in the Jaguars’ arsenal.
The entire Overhills passing attack took a step back in 2025 after losing one of the best quarterbacks in school history. So, Coley’s junior numbers didn’t approach what he did as a sophomore. However, he’s still the same player who can make people miss and do damage after the catch. He caught 13 touchdowns in 2024, but only two last season. We expect a number closer to the former than the latter in 2026.
Coley isn’t the biggest receiver in the area, but he’s one of the most dangerous. He’s able to plant and get upfield in a hurry, and defenders frequently take poor angles or struggle to stop him out of his breaks and once he gets the ball in his hands. A lot of his yards come after the catch, often on screens or other shorter throws. Overhills does a lot to get him the ball and for good reason, because he’s electric in the open field.
Ryyan made his first All-Conference team this past season for Overhills, and he had some nice production for them. For the season Ryyan caught 49 passes for 775 yards, which the yardage led the team, along with 13 touchdowns, which easily led the team in overall touchdowns. His Twitter profile says he runs a 4.4 40 yard dash, which his verification as a speed threat is backed up by his highlight film. There are several highlights of Ryyan just flat running past corners after he closes the cushion on fly routes. But Ryyan can also excel in the quick screen game and on short routes with some impressive run-after-the-catch ability. Ryyan has a quick twitch ability to get to top speed quickly, and this really bodes well for him to be a major playmaker for Overhills over the next two seasons.
