Jamouri is new to the Chambers program, coming into the school after having success at West Charlotte over the past three years, bringing them a State Championship 2 years ago, and leading them to the state semifinals last season. Jamouri is a dual-threat quarterback who excels at making plays under pressure. His accuracy and arm strength have improved every season, and it will be interesting to see how the Cougars offense will look under his direction. There have been some positive reviews from 7 on 7 competition this summer, and Nichols will be a battle-tested senior. His play will go a long way in determining how well Chambers competes this year.
Jamouri came into this past season with offers from Johnson C. Smith and Catawba College, and at this point no one can deny the talent he possesses. Jamouri is a winner first and foremost, and he’s led West Charlotte deep in the playoffs two years in a row. His dual-threat abilities are well known, and his accuracy and consistency are strong traits of his game.

Chambers | 2027 StateNC, junior quarterback for West Charlotte and former state champion, is heading into his senior year with momentum and proven production. Nichols threw for 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns, while adding 500 rushing yards and 13 rushing scores, showcasing his ability to hurt defenses in multiple ways. He plays with confidence and composure, understanding when to take shots through the air and when to tuck it and move the chains. With championship experience already under his belt and another offseason to elevate his game, Nichols enters his senior season as one of the more dynamic quarterbacks in the 704.
Jamouri comes off another strong season for the Lions, leading them to the 8A Western Regional Final. His accuracy, dual-threat ability, and overall football intelligence are major pluses for him for inclusion on this potential Junior Bowl team. He will have a new head coach this upcoming season, though, and it is always interesting to see how that will mesh going into his senior year. But he’s our #2 quarterback in this class in the state for a reason, which you see when you look at his film.
Nichols lacks elite size, but he’s a dynamic runner with a remarkably accurate arm. Typically, when you see a guy in his mold (a smaller guy who creates in the pocket) you’d expect his arm talent and accuracy to lag behind his peers, but Nichols has a strong arm and is accurate to all fields, even on the move.
Efficient and smart was the best way to describe Jamouri’s game in this one. With the Lions’ defense playing well, Jamouri took what was given to him in the passing game and kept the chains moving with several runs for first downs – some designed, some out of scrambling on passing plays. Jamouri was 11-15 passing for 71 yards, along with 15 carries for 65 yards and 2 touchdown runs. I spoke with Jamouri after the game.
Nichols and his West Charlotte team faced a gauntlet of a non-conference schedule, then powered through the toughest conference in the state, and his numbers don’t tell the whole story of his season. Often playing a bit banged up, Nichols had 28 touchdowns and only two interceptions, while averaging 9.2 yards an attempt. How hard was West Charlotte’s schedule? The Lions are a 2-seed in the 8A playoffs with five games against top-2 seeds in their respective classes.
