About Khalil
Expert Analysis

Khalil had some impressive performances this past season for the Lions. I watched him live in the playoffs against a talented Myers Park team have a good game, especially in run blocking. He’s got offers from Johnson C. Smith and Georgia Tech, and I believe more are going to come his way with a strong off-season performance.

on the right side, Khalil did a good job of fitting and driving on the Mustangs’ defensive tackles, and West Charlotte ran behind him down on the goalline a good bit for multiple touchdown runs. Khalil showed he is an elite run blocker who excels at winning against interior defensive linemen in a straight drive-block type of scheme. I’m excited to see him continue to grow with another year of development.

Khalil Hansey-McNair | OL | West Charlotte | 6’2” 315 lbs
Hansey-McNair has built a winning pedigree from a young age, collecting travel ball titles, middle school championships, and most recently a state championship with West Charlotte as a sophomore. Lining up at guard, he plays with a nasty edge, finishing blocks as if every rep is personal. His strength, physicality, and relentless approach make him a tone-setter in the trenches.

Hansley-McNair is a massive blocker who can play inside or outside for West Charlotte. He likely projects as a guard at the next level. He moves really well for a bigger lineman, especially laterally and he can get up to speed in a hurry. When he does, watch out, because he can deliver some huge blows to smaller defenders. The upside here is special and Hansley-McNair has two years to reach it before the college level.

As I wrote previously about Khalil, expect his ranking to skyrocket from us in our next rankings update. Khalil’s film is impressive and his physical frame will allow him to get even stronger over the next two years. Colleges have been slower to recognize Khalil’s talent, but his offers from Johnson C. Smith and Georgia Tech are just the beginning for him. I’m excited to see what develops with him from a recruiting perspective this summer once he gets out and starts getting into some different camps.

Khalil McNair was a big reason why the Lions were able to win a State Championship earlier than what most Charlotte observers believed. The development of the Lions’ offensive line to match their elite skill talent was a major factor in their offensive success in the postseason, and Khalil was a major part of that. Playing both right tackle and right guard, Khalil is a man-mover, plain and simple. Khalil shows enough athleticism and good footwork to work to the second level and absolutely obliterate linebackers and space. Khalil has good short-space speed to work on pulls and clear out defenders on traps and power-type of plays. It was fun to watch those highlights. Khalil has picked up some offers from both Johnson C. Smith and Georgia Tech, and I’d expect his ranking to move up in our next update.
