Hickory Ridge clearly trusted Untereker with the ball in his hands, as he contributed as a receiver, occasional rusher, and on special teams. He got his touches in almost every game as the Bulls made getting the freshman the ball a priority. As a sophomore, that volume should only grow, which makes sense, given he doesn’t physically look like an underclassman. He’s able to match up physically as a receiver, and the route-running nuance should come with more reps.

Not only did Untereker have a strong finish to his freshman season with 225 yards and two touchdowns in his final four games, but we’ve also begun to hear some awesome things about his work in the weight room. The multi-sport athlete contributed on both offense and special teams for Hickory Ridge last season, and he’s continued to grow, turning into a legitimate weapon at the receiver position.
