We have Carter ranked as a wide receiver, but he just as easily could go into our athlete category, as he has been a contributor on both sides of the ball for a while for the Crusaders. Carter is definitely a playmaker, and his contributions will be essential for a team that wants to play physical on both sides of the ball and send a message on Friday Nights.

Stevens had a decent year as a receiver last year, so we had his name on our radar, but he’s impressed us multiple times this summer. He’s a strong, precise route-runner who knows his role on every play, rather than simply running to a spot. He also led the defense with six interceptions last year. We think he could have a huge senior year.

Carter continues to show that it doesn’t matter where you play, good talent is everywhere in the Charlotte Metro Area. Consistency is what I love to see in receivers, and Carter did that very well. Watching him up close during the individual period, his cuts are precise, route running is focused, and his hands are strong when he plucks the ball out of the area effortlessly. He will have another big season for a good Christ The King program, there’s no doubt in my mind.

Stevens was a true difference-maker for Christ the King, finishing the season with 600 total yards and 10 total touchdowns while serving as a leader on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he stood out as one of the top turnover creators in the state, recording 6 interceptions to go along with 34 total tackles. His ability to impact the game in multiple phases, paired with his instincts and ball skills, makes him a name worth circling as the 2027 class continues to develop. High motor, high impact.
