Whether it was a clutch performance to secure a victory or a player that just went off and filled up the stat sheet, we have them here. This week, we have 25 different players featured! To nominate a top performer, you can DM us on X @PrepRedzoneOK or email Michael@PrepRedzone.com Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma every single day for new content throughout the 2025 football season!

[player_tooltip player_id='1179996' first='Acyn' last='Hansen'] - Senior Quarterback - Jones

Jones remained undefeated with a 50-20 victory over Mount St. Mary on senior night Thursday. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1179996' first='Acyn' last='Hansen'] led another prolific night on the offensive side of the ball. He finished the night with over 150 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. He also threw for 81 yards and a touchdown on 7-10 passing. It was a dominant night from the Jones senior class and the Longhorns now turn their attention to a week nine showdown with OCS. Two teams still unbeaten with the district title on the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1083187' first='Barrett' last='Mullen'] - Senior Quarterback - Cascia Hall

Cascia Hall rolled to a 42-10 victory over Claremore Sequoyah but the story of the night centered around their quarterback. It was another day at the office for senior signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1083187' first='Barrett' last='Mullen'] as he threw for 178 yards and a touchdown on 14-16 passing. Those numbers aren't eye-popping but they are historic. Mullen became the school's all time leading passer, eclipsing 7,000 career passing yards in the win. Mullen has been a steady presence for the Commandos since his sophomore season and he's hungry for more.

[player_tooltip player_id='1366322' first='Braden' last='Ward'] - Senior Quarterback - Pryor

The Pryor Tigers are still undefeated and they made quite the statement when they smashed Collinsville 49-14 on Friday night. It was a dominant performance from the offense as a whole but senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1366322' first='Braden' last='Ward'] had another stellar performance in the win. He finished with over 250 yards and five touchdowns on 16-21 passing. He also finished with over 50 yards on the ground. It was actually a balanced attack from Pryor but Ward has been one of the best quarterbacks all season and that was clear Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1530096' first='Brayton' last='Carter'] - Junior Athlete - Stilwell

Stilwell came up short in a match-up against Hilldale on Friday night. But junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='1530096' first='Brayton' last='Carter'] had another big performance despite being on the wrong side of the scoreboard. Carter finished with over 250 all purpose yards. He had over 100 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He also had three catches for 51 yards and a score. Then he returned a kick 90 yards to the house. Stilwell is in one of the toughest districts in the state and the record shows it but week after week, Carter is performing at a very high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1748512' first='Cal' last='Whitnah'] - Sophomore Quarterback - Harrah

The Harrah Panthers look like they are going to be playoff bound and sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1748512' first='Cal' last='Whitnah'] has been a big reason why this season. This isn't the first time that Whitnah has been on this breakdown and it might not be the last. In their 62-21 win over Madill, Whitnah put up more big numbers from the quarterback position. He finished the night 15-18 and accounted for 315 yards and scored eight touchdowns. Whitnah is a certified playmaker and we're looking forward to seeing him in person in week ten.

[player_tooltip player_id='1101281' first='Carter' last='Ricke'] - Senior Quarterback - Lincoln Christian

Lincoln Christian won their 36th consecutive game Thursday when they knocked off Checotah 56-0. It was another dominant win for the Bulldogs and senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1101281' first='Carter' last='Ricke'] had another efficient night. He threw for nearly 250 yards and four touchdowns on 12-16 passing. He also added a 60-yard touchdown run as the Bulldogs improved to 8-0 and have simply been perfect all season. Ricke is the leader of one of the best and most balanced offenses in the state, regardless of class this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1346473' first='Colby' last='Watson'] - Senior Quarterback - Grove

Grove made quite the statement in week eight when they beat Wagoner 50-20. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1346473' first='Colby' last='Watson'] ended up having a big night as the Ridgerunners could not be contained on the offensive side of the ball. Watson finished with over 150 passing yards and nearly 100 rushing yards. All in all, he accounted for six touchdowns in the win over the Bulldogs. Watson and the Ridgerunners are going to be a combo that will be fun to watch in the final two weeks and when the playoffs get cranked up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1328091' first='Cooper' last='McCord'] - Senior Quarterback/Linebacker - Adair

Adair found themselves in a high-scoring affair with Keys in week eight but they prevailed, remaining undefeated following a 64-41 victory. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1328091' first='Cooper' last='McCord'] is making a strong case for being the top player in Class 2A-2 this season and he had another performance to back that up. McCord finished with well over 300 yards and six touchdowns through the air. He also had a touchdown on the ground. McCord is probably known more for his work on the ground so those passing numbers definitely caught our attention.

[player_tooltip player_id='1828542' first='Corey' last='Sango Jr'] - Sophomore Running Back - Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow knocked off Union 29-10 on Thursday night and sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='1828542' first='Corey' last='Sango Jr'] had another big night. For the second straight week, Sango finds himself on this breakdown as he's making the most of filling in for Broken Arrow's starting running back. In the win over Union, Sango finished the night with just over 150 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. We're convinced now that Broken Arrow has a legitimate two-headed monster at running back and that will be fun to watch in the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1831822' first='Creighton' last='Allen'] - Senior Quarterback - Oklahoma Christian School

It was simply a perfect night for Oklahoma Christian School senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1831822' first='Creighton' last='Allen'] in week eight. Allen finished 10-10 for just over 200 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 35 yards and a touchdown on the ground as OCS beat Blackwell 35-6. Allen and the Saints have had a very successful 2025 campaign but now all the eyes will be on them this week. The Saints will host #2 Jones in week nine and the district championship will be on the line. It's also going to be a terrific quarterback match-up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1214367' first='David' last='Thomas'] - Sophomore Wide Receiver - Stillwater

In one of the biggest games of week eight, Stillwater beat Putnam City 33-20 to all but lock up the district championship. Sophomore wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1214367' first='David' last='Thomas'] emerged as the top player in this showdown and he was doing it on both sides of the ball. He finished with five catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns. He also had an interception on the defensive side of the ball. That's something we've seen from Thomas more this season. He's one of the best wide receivers but he's starting to shine at corner.

[player_tooltip player_id='693905' first='Delijah' last='Matthews'] - Junior Running Back - Carl Albert

Carl Albert junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='693905' first='Delijah' last='Matthews'] continues to show the state why he's the next big thing in the Carl Albert backfield. The Titans rolled to an easy 49-0 win over Lawton and Matthews was unstoppable running the ball. He finished the night with 270 yards and four touchdowns. He's now scored 25 touchdowns on the season and is closing in on 1,500 yards on the ground. With another deep playoff run, Matthews could be a 2,000-yard rusher this season. And by the way, Carl Albert won their 47th straight game.

[player_tooltip player_id='523223' first='Gage' last='Gibbons'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Deer Creek

Deer Creek sent quite the statement to the rest of Class 6A-1 when they upset Norman 30-28 in week eight. There is no doubt that the Antlers are going through some growing pains this season but one of the bright spots has been junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='523223' first='Gage' last='Gibbons'] and he had a big night in the win over Norman. Gibbons finished with 11 catches for well over 100 yards and a touchdown. Gibbons has all the potential to be one of the best wide receivers in Class 6A-1 and his week eight performance could be a sign of things to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] - Junior Quarterback - Broken Bow

Broken Bow handed Ada their first loss on Friday night and they did it in style, beating the Cougars 42-14 and making things very interesting in that district. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] was once again the marquee player in the Savage offense and he had another big game throwing and running the ball. He finished with just over 150 yards and a touchdown passing while adding nearly 180 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. In our opinion, Howell is one of the very best football players in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986930' first='Jayce' last='Hunt'] - Freshman Running Back - Inola

Inola continues to win games and with a relatively young roster in some key positions, the Longhorns will be a team to keep an eye on moving forward. In their 54-14 win over Vinita, it was freshman running back [player_tooltip player_id='1986930' first='Jayce' last='Hunt'] that shined brightest and he had a very dominant while quick night. He only had ten carries in the win but he made the most of them. He finished with over 200 yards and four touchdowns. Inola has been one of the surprise teams in Class 3A this season and they still have some big games ahead of them.

[player_tooltip player_id='1549987' first='Jayden' last='Hall'] - Senior Running Back - Owasso

Another week and another big performance from Owasso senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1549987' first='Jayden' last='Hall'] and this Ram offense. Owasso beat Edmond Santa Fe 42-8 and Hall once again could not be contained from having a big performance. Hall went over 150 yards and scored four touchdowns in the win. We've talked about Hall quite a bit this season and how he's firmly established himself as one of the top running backs in Oklahoma this season. It's clear to us that he's just one of the best overall players in the state this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1045556' first='Jayson' last='Moll'] - Senior Running Back - Bixby

Bixby found themselves in a position they haven't been familiar with this season. A full four-quarter fight as they eventually prevailed in Mustang but it took all four quarters. They won 38-22 and senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1045556' first='Jayson' last='Moll'] showed that he's much more than an explosive play waiting to happen. He has the potential to be a workhorse back in this Bixby offense. With weather causing havoc, Bixby leaned on the run game and Moll finished with 31 carries for over 300 yards and a touchdown in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1667339' first='Jeymon' last='Reed'] - Freshman Quarterback - Altus

Altus suffered their first loss of the year on the road in Guthrie on Saturday afternoon. Despite the loss, freshman quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1667339' first='Jeymon' last='Reed'] had one of the best performances of week eight and he continues to show why he's the runaway favorite for Freshman Of The Year. Reed finished with 228 passing yards and two touchdowns in bad conditions for a pass-first offense. He also added 65 yards and two short yardage touchdowns on the ground. He even had over 100 yards and a touchdown receiving. Complete offensive performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='913667' first='Kade' last='Barton'] - Junior Defensive Lineman - Guthrie

Guthrie prevailed over Altus, winning 41-35 in an overtime classic. And despite Reed having a good game for the Bulldogs, junior defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='913667' first='Kade' last='Barton'] made him and the Altus offense work for every inch. Barton had a big game for the Blue Jays, coming off the edge and causing absolute havoc in the Altus backfield. We don't have official stats but he had multiple sacks, several tackles for loss and forced and recovered a fumble on a sack. He was a dominant player for Guthrie from start to finish on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1524935' first='Landen' last='Griffith'] - Junior Quarterback - Talihina

Talihina remained undefeated after beating Wewoka 48-16 last week. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1524935' first='Landen' last='Griffith'] once again had a monstrous stat line and more people need to start talking about the production that Griffith has had over the last two seasons. In the win over Wewoka, Griffith threw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns on 29-39 passing. He also added well over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. He's a true dual-threat weapon that has Talihina squarely as the favorites in Class A-2.

[player_tooltip player_id='1206910' first='Landon' last='Kizzar'] - Junior Quarterback - Jenks

The Jenks offense steamrolled their way to a 67-14 victory over Moore on Thursday night. This game was called in the second half because of weather but before that, junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1206910' first='Landon' last='Kizzar'] and this Trojan offense was on an absolute roll. Kizzar had one of his best games of the season. He threw for 375 yards and three touchdowns on 17-19 passing. This Jenks offense has been very fun to watch so far this season and with the playoffs right around the corner, they will be incredibly tough to slow down or contain.

[player_tooltip player_id='1400727' first='Shawn' last='Rounsaville Jr'] - Senior Running Back - Tuttle

Tuttle remained undefeated with another dominant win in week eight. They beat Blanchard 49-7 and took another step towards the district championship. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1400727' first='Shawn' last='Rounsaville Jr'] was the bright spot in this Tuttle offense as he finished with just over 200 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries. Tuttle is arguably the most balanced offense in Class 4A. They have one of the best quarterbacks in the state but Rounsaville is also one of the best running backs in this class. He keeps them balanced and unpredictable.

[player_tooltip player_id='449184' first='TJ' last='Bradford'] - Senior Running Back - Newcastle

It was a 5A showdown between Newcastle and Lawton MacArthur and the Racers prevailed, keeping their district championship hopes very alive heading into week nine. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='449184' first='TJ' last='Bradford'] had another explosive game in the win. He finished with over 200 yards on the ground and with that performance, he eclipsed 1,000 yards on the ground for the season. Bradford is a very fun player to watch and he's one of the most experienced players in Class 5A. They'll need that for their week nine showdown with Bishop McGuinness.

[player_tooltip player_id='1530107' first='Ty' last='Jerrell'] - Junior Linebacker - Pocola

Pocola rolled to a 44-3 victory over Hartshorne in week eight and most of the time, Pocola's offense gets a lot of the love. This time, we're putting the spotlight on the defense and specifically junior [player_tooltip player_id='1530107' first='Ty' last='Jerrell'] at the linebacker position. In the win over Hartshorne, Jerrell finished with ten tackles, with five of them coming for a loss and he also added two sacks. When we caught Pocola in person earlier this season, Jerrell was one of the best defenders on the field in a match-up with the defending state champs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1745314' first='Wyatt' last='Jones'] - Junior Quarterback - Yukon

In a high-scoring game with Norman North, Yukon came out victorious with a 48-40 victory over the Timberwolves. The two quarterbacks in this match-up both put up big numbers but junior signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1745314' first='Wyatt' last='Jones'] was on the winning side of this match-up. In the victory, Jones would account for over 400 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. The Yukon rushing attack was a big story coming out of this game and Jones was a big part of that. The Millers are one step closer to making it back to the playoffs.
