continues to have a stranglehold on the top spot at the wide receiver position. But this could be the last time we have Thomas ranked in the Oklahoma 2028 class rankings. We have heard that Thomas will be moving out of state at the end of the school year. But regardless of where Thomas is playing this fall, he’s still one of the better wide receivers in the 2028 class. Thomas has been a dude to know since his freshman season. And as a sophomore, Thomas elevated his game to new heights. The Pioneers lost one of their star wide receivers to a season-ending injury halfway through the 2025 season. That opened the door for Thomas to absolutely dominate so he had a special sophomore season.

. The 2028 receiver was huge for the Pioneers in 2025. After injuries to other key players, Thomas stepped up and became the #1 guy on the perimeter for Stillwater. Thomas is equipped with great route running ability but is really dangerous after the ball is in his hands. Quick screens and slants are big play threats when thrown to Thomas. His speed and elusiveness allow for large chunks of yards after the catch. Thomas also has a strong presence at defensive back, but in 2025 his strength was making plays offensively for the Pioneers.

has been considered one of the state’s best 2028 prospects, regardless of position since middle school. The Stillwater sophomore is on a tear right now from a production standpoint. He’s going to have a chance to lead the team in all three receiving categories this season. The offers have started to roll in for Thomas and they probably won’t slow down when his film makes the rounds and he starts going to various camps in the offseason. Simply put, Thomas is an outstanding talent at the wide receiver position and he’s shown the ability to beat defenses in a variety of ways. He can make incredibly hard catches in traffic look like second nature to him and he’s just scratching the surface on what he’ll be.

is the first half of arguably the best WR duo in the state. At this time last year, we thought that Thomas was going to be a very important piece to the Pioneer offense, right away as a freshman. His first career catch was a 40-yard touchdown against Union. He would end up finishing the season with 34 catches for over 550 yards and seven touchdowns. He was a match-up nightmare for opponents and he’s just scratching the surface on what he’s going to be as a wide receiver prospect. He’s incredibly special and last season was only the beginning. He’s firmly established himself as one of the top overall prospects in his class.

jumps up to the top spot in the state’s 2028 class in our latest update. Around this time last year, we knew that Thomas had the potential to be one of the state’s more impactful freshmen. He lived up to the hype and then some during the 2024 season. Thomas is so dynamic with the football and he doesn’t get enough credit for what he’s able to do at the wide receiver position. Stillwater has a few different guys at the position so he’s not being force-fed the ball every time they pass. But when he gets his opportunities, he more than takes advantage of them. We’ve been fortunate to be in person to see Thomas make some spectacular plays. Like every player on this breakdown, Thomas has already earned multiple offers and that train isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. He’s a special talent and an underrated player in the return game as well.

is similar to Barrett in the sense that we knew it was only a matter of time before he started shining on the varsity level. We got a chance to watch Thomas at various 7v7 tournaments and at our PRZ-Next camp last spring and we were convinced that the ceiling for him was incredibly high moving forward. Thomas didn’t take long to have an impact on the varsity level for the Pioneers and in fact, he became one of their top weapons on the offensive side of the ball. Thomas is another example of a wide receiver prospect that makes the hard catches look incredibly easy. The majority of wide receivers in the class couldn’t do what he’s doing and he makes it look very simple. Thomas is a terrific playmaker and he already has the attention of college coaches across the country.

was a no brainer for this breakdown as he came into this season as one of the top wide receivers in the state’s 2028 class. Before his freshman season even began, Thomas was already on the D1 radar, receiving an offer from the hometown Oklahoma State Cowboys. As his varsity film starts making the rounds moving forward, don’t be surprised if Thomas picks up more offers in the next six months. Thomas is second on the team in every receiving category behind a sophomore who is quickly becoming one of the top overall guys in the state’s 2027 class. Needless to say, Stillwater is going to have some absolute dudes at the wide receiver position for a while. Another thing that stands out is Thomas is just scratching the surface on what he can be moving forward.

is going to be arguably the most impactful freshman at the 6A-2 level this season. Thomas is also going to come into this season as one of the heavy favorites to earn Freshman Of The Year honors. He’s already on the radar of college coaches and that should only continue after this fall. We watched Thomas in person quite a bit this offseason on the 7v7 circuit and he looks like a player that could have a tremendous impact for the Pioneers and that will come on both sides of the ball. We’re excited to see Thomas competing at the varsity level right away and what he brings to a Stillwater team that is one of the favorites in 6A-2. There’s a lot of hype around Thomas and rightfully so.
