He has a strong frame with good size and impressive grip strength that makes it hard for opposing defensive lineman to disengage from his blocks.

He measured in recently at a verified 6-foot-2.5 inches and 310 pounds with 10-inch hands. As he continues to grow, the raw measurables will be very favorable for the interior of the line.

The next step for him includes getting better in the initial second of each snap with improved explosiveness next season, but he has the raw potential to be a stud center at the next level.

He already has solid size and grip strength that has generated excitement around his potential as a prospect as he continues to develop over the next four seasons of high school football.

He has experience working along all three interior spots and even at left tackle this season, offering some early positional flexibility. He will continue to develop and improve under a head coach that was previously a SEC offensive line coach.

Gonzalez started at Left Tackle and played a near flawless game up front for the 8th Grade Tennessee Future Stars. Up to a solid, proportioned and great-looking 300-pounds, he overwhelmed the Kentucky Edge defenders all game long. He pulled with ease, took defenders for a ride backwards and was pivotal in TN’s victory over KY. I can’t say enough good things here.

He has dominated pre-high school ball on multiple teams as an Offensive Tackle, but appears to be making the move to the interior line, based off recent film. As far as technique, versatility to play OT or OG, and overall pound-for-pound ability, I’m not too far off from saying that he may be the most valuable 2029 O-Linemen in the state. Again, just like his brother, his early summer is already riddled with a number of college camps before he starts his inaugural HS football season.

The top offensive lineman not only on Team Ice, but in my opinion, the top offensive lineman on either team in the inaugural Fire vs. Ice Game. It’s hard to call players on the pre-high school level “complete” but I did not see a single bad rep, lazy play or bad decision throughout either practice from Gonzalez on the offensive side of the ball. While he also would go on to get the start at Defensive Tackle in the game as well, his play at Left Tackle was nothing shorter of stellar. Plays big and mean. Finishes blocks. Has enough quickness to get up to the next level and cut off backside linebackers trying to make plays across the field. He put on a clinic.
