We have spent a lot of the early offseason talking about the Class of 2026 QB position. It became clear very early that this was going to be a group that was going to see a larger than usual amount of athletes go D1. It is living up to that billing with three athletes already committed to the FCS level. That includes [player_tooltip player_id='948097' first='Patrick' last='Greisen'] to South Dakota, [player_tooltip player_id='1307501' first='Brooks' last='Hendrickson'] to North Dakota, and [player_tooltip player_id='948127' first='Isaac' last='Ziegler'] committing to St. Thomas. The position has also seen [player_tooltip player_id='1544807' first='Bryson' last='Schmid'] commit to Duluth and [player_tooltip player_id='1608202' first='Isaiah' last='Fugate'] commit to Dordt where he will focus on DL. Even with those five athletes off the board there is still so much talent to be had. Let's talk about them and the offers they currently hold.

Tanner has put together a great offseason. We have had several PRZ scouts watch him throw live and every one of them has raved about his size, arm strength, and efficient mechanics. The incoming senior is coming off a very productive junior campaign, showing that the traits that stood out at camp actually translate to the field.

Tanner has earned offers from Jamestown, UW- Oshkosh and is also a very talented baseball player on top of the QB success and talent. The Whitnall standout earned QB2 for a reason. No doubt he is going to be a massive steal for a program.

I have been able to see Bryce throw a few times scattered across the offseason timeline. The dude is progressing really well this offseason. The ball is coming out quick and jumps off his hand. It is holding its velocity to the target with no wasted air under the ball when he needs it there in a hurry. He is so technically sound, getting the ball out with a very smooth and quick throwing motion. Ott has done very well putting himself in position to push up the QB rankings potentially. He holds a D1 offer from Western Illinois along with an offer from D2 Upper Iowa. Bryce also holds a few offers for basketball as well. A legitimate dual sport standout.

One of the best dual threat passers in the state is Bay Port's [player_tooltip player_id='1247534' first='Matt' last='Stevens']. Even if he didn't have that ability to take over a game with his legs Matt would still be a top athlete at the position. He has a live arm and no fear to aggressively attack deep downfield. Stevens has no problem creating velocity on his throws with his mechanics and big frame to help generate torque. Add in the physical running and long speed when he finds the open field and you have a QB that forces defenses into tough situations on a down to down basis. Matt has earned an offer from UW-Oshkosh, so far.

Grant came into this offseason with the least amount of experience as a starter on varsity, but the traits are hard to ignore. He has the 6'4" 205 lbs frame, prototypical for a collegiate QB. The 2026 QB also has the big arm that allows him to play free and with no hesitation when he needs to fire it on a rope into a tight spot or deep downfield. He also has strong bloodlines with his brother Jack playing QB at North Dakota. The size is there, the natural arm is there. The offers are also starting to be there. He has an offer from Eau Claire and Oshkosh currently.

Another exciting dual threat athlete is [player_tooltip player_id='1603927' first='Zach' last='Rizzo']. On the ground the 6'4" 225 lbs athlete is a force to be reckoned with. He can get the edge and up the sideline for big plays. Rizzo will also not hesitate to lower the shoulder and punish defenders with his big frame and power. Zach is one of the more raw passers in this group, but the glimpses of next level excellence are there within that strong arm. As a QB coach gets a few years to mold his mechanics we could see the big man continue his development and end up as one of the best in this Class. Zach currently holds offers from Carthage and UW- Oshkosh.

Brock is a small school prospect with big time talent. The 2026 led his team to a State appearance back in 2024, utilizing his passing abilities to keep his offense perfectly balanced and the defense on its heels. The 6'3" 195 lbs passer has spent a ton of time working on his craft, so it is no surprise that his game is well refined. Even going back to his junior tape you see him stand tall in the pocket, be able to move and reset quickly, play with fine tuned mechanics, and be accurate to every level of the field. The D3 level here in WI is going to get a steal based off the current offers that the studs in this class have. Brock is one of those steals with offers from Oshkosh and Eau Claire.

We just talked about Nick yesterday, but we can't talk about the best uncommitted QB talent and not include the 6'5" 230 lbs passer. The massive framed athlete really impressed me with his ability to get behind the ball and drive it with power when needed. Between his rare frame, big arm, and solid athleticism it is hard to draw up anything you could want more. On top of the raw tools, Nick is also a 63% completion percentage passer and is a varsity athlete on the basketball and baseball team. He checks so many boxes that are looked for, so it can only be a matter of time before he earns his first offer.
