Expert Analysis

The North Dakota QB commit put together a great high school career. Brooks posted elite numbers in back to back seasons, led his team on deep playoff runs, and now gets to take his talents to the D1 level. One of those elite weekly performances came on October 3 when the senior tied for the lead in single game passing TDs on the season with 7.
Brooks finished the night going for an unreal 23/26, 363 yards, 7 TDs and no INTs. The senior is well known for his elite accuracy and ball placement with the strength to drive it to every level of the field with velocity all the way to the receiver. However, you never expect to see a kid have more than double the number of TDs compared to the number of incompletions in a game. That is what Brooks did vs Lakeside Lutheran, carving them up in an unforgettable performance. Watch the highlights below!

The North Dakota commit is looking to cap off an unforgettable career with a deep run in the playoffs that also includes a lot of passing production. All the tools are there from mechanics to release to arm power and accuracy. The All Conference QB will be must watch this fall.

Mount Horeb has been one of the best offenses the past few seasons, and the leader of it will be back in 2025 for his third season at the helm. The North Dakota commit piled up 2,249 yards and 26 TDs while being apart of a very balanced offensive attack. Brooks knows how to make his reps count without question. He averaged 8.2 yds/att and averaged 60+% completion percentage in 8/12 games as a junior. Brooks has the arm talent to effectively attack the entire field and the control over the ball placement to always give his man the best shot at making. a play while also protecting the ball. I can’t wait for his final act this fall.

We are currently updating the Class of 2026 rankings, so you can ignore the numbers on the left. Brooks is steadily climbing his way up the rankings. Year to year, Brooks would be my choice for the athlete who has improved the most. The ’26 has the sound mechanics that have allowed him to be razor sharp with his accuracy to every level of the field. Paired with touch, Brooks was able to carve up defenses early with his pinpoint ball placement and smart decision making.
Now, the junior QB has packed a lot of size and muscle onto his 6’3″ frame and with that size has come a big jump in his arm strength. Brooks proved on Sunday that he is able to drive the ball and get it to spots the instant he wants it there. That increase in arm strength has allowed him to be more aggressive, attack smaller windows on Friday nights, and help his team win games. The lefty QB is doing a great job of creating a well-rounded skill set. Coaches, make sure you are either trying to get to his school to watch him throw or get him onto your campuses for summer camps.

One of my favorite QBs in the Class of 2026 is Mount Horeb’s Brooks Hendrickson. The junior QB has the prototypical size of a college QB a 6’3″ 195 lbs with a very well developed skill set. The lefty demonstrated crisp, consistent mechanics from his feet to his hips to his release. He was comfortable throwing on roll outs in QB drills, and once we got rolling vs DBs Brooks really hit his stride. Brooks is a QB that can get the ball everywhere on the field and always has a great sense of the touch needed to drop the ball into spots he wants it. His command of where to put the ball is outstanding. The junior is going to have a big year ahead of him as things turn towards 2026s more and more.

I was pumped to finally get eyes on the rising junior QB in this battle. They didn’t need him a ton because of how dominant the run game was, but Brooks delivered any time they looked to him. He definitely has the big, strong frame you look for. The ball can come out of his hand quickly. They asked him to do a lot of short passing where his receivers could work after the catch and Brooks has the quick feet and release to get that done. The junior also showed the touch and accuracy on his deeper targets like the 37 yard TD he threw. It was good to see that Brooks could step up and deliver at any moment and didn’t need 30+ attempts to make an impact.

Brooks fits what this offense has been doing over the past few years perfectly. He has a big frame with a live arm plus the confidence to come out in his first week as the starter and attack downfield. Every TD pass in Week 1 was over 20 yards downfield placed with accuracy and his strong arm was able to get it there quickly. The lefty gunslinger has the tools to put up dominant numbers over the next two years. Get this kid on your radar. He is going to be one of the top risers in this Class by the end of the season.
