Over 90 players convened at Clayton High School Sunday to compete in our PRZ Combine Series camp. There was some excellent competition between players and we'll have in-depth coverage all week. First though, we're hitting our all-camp teams. Here, I'll have thoughts and reports on our top players from the PRZ Clayton Combine.

PRZ Clayton Combine All-Camp First-Team Offense

My first-team offense consists of the players I thought performed the best out of everyone in attendance. Because of numbers, I'm including multiple quarterbacks, receivers, and running backs. Though there will certainly some overlap between camp MVPs and this group, the All-Camp team is based on my own observations.

Quarterback

[player_tooltip player_id='870217' first='Tanner' last='Payne'], 2026, West Carteret: Get this kid an offer already. It was another fantastic camp performance by Payne, who showed both athleticism and experience Sunday. Mainly asked to be a pocket passer for West Carteret, Payne isn't a statue and put up great numbers in both the 5-10-5 and 40, though not as fast as we've seen him run in the past. The ball jumps off his hand and after a few early hiccups, he was locked in, as one of the more accurate quarterbacks on the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='1662114' first='Austin' last='Davis'], 2027, Cuthbertson: Davis wasn't really on my radar until about a week ago and even then, I didn't really expect him to be one of the top guys at our camp. Davis can sling it, and the ball leaves his hand with little effort. His footwork was impressive as well, on a day when footwork was a high priority for the signal-callers. His 4.4 5-10-5 caught my attention in the testing portion.

Running Back

[player_tooltip player_id='1531332' first='Taeshon' last='Martin'], 2026, Mount Airy: Several coaches remarked that Martin's combination of size and shiftiness gave him the look of an FBS running back. It's crazy that he doesn't have more recruiting interest as he ran for nearly 2,500 yards last season. He's shifty, explosive, and has a great idea of how to succeed at the running back position. I left impressed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1665917' first='Jayden' last='Howard'], 2026, Havelock: Because of the sheer amount of senior receiver talent last season, Havelock went pass-heavy, meaning Howard only got about seven carries a game, but Sunday he showed a shiftiness and change-of-direction that leads me to believe he could have a huge senior season. I was impressed with his ability as a pass-catcher and a runner.

Wide Receiver

[player_tooltip player_id='714587' first='TJ' last='Campbell'], 2026, Clayton: It's Campbell's time. After catching 26 passes as a junior behind a trio of senior receivers, Campbell has put in the work to reshape his body and it's already making a huge impact. He put up absurd shuttle and 3-cone times that rival the best at the NFL level. His 4.09 5-10-5 would have been sixth at this year's NFL Combine and his 6.65 3-cone would have been tied for first. In drills, he showed precise route-running and in one-on-ones had multiple highlight reel catches. He's a Group of Five receiver on my board, it'll only take one school to step in.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654186' first='Brody' last='Hunt'], 2026, South Iredell: Hunt really impressed me with his route-running and hands Sunday. He stemmed his routes well and got out of his breaks more quickly than most of his competition. I'd love to see him drop his 4.72 40 to the high 4.5s, but as a pure technician, Hunt was unmatched.

Offensive Tackle

[player_tooltip player_id='903425' first='Jackson' last='Sammons'], 2026, West Stokes: Sammons has long been a scouting favorite of mine, but I hadn't seen him compete in person before. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. Sammons' anchor and base were excellent, allowing him to thrive in pass protection. His footwork was solid and he was plenty quick as well, with a 4.78 short shuttle turning heads.

Interior Offensive Line

[player_tooltip player_id='1649816' first='Joshua' last='Crenshaw'], 2026, American Leadership Academy- Johnston: I did not see this one coming. I like Crenshaw's defensive tackle film and that's where he started the camp, putting up an impressive 4.97 short shuttle at 320 pounds. He looked solid on the defensive side of the ball as I watched drills, but when I came back about half an hour later after watching some quarterbacks, he was stonewalling defenders as a guard. He's a new guy on my radar, but one I'm really excited to scout again soon.
