We thought Hunt might have a breakout senior year after we saw him at our Prep Redzone Showcase, and he delivered, setting multiple school records and going over 1,000 yards as a receiver. He’s a crisp route-runner who flashed deep threat abilities as a senior. He’s picked up a few FCS preferred walk-on offers, and we think he could contribute at that level.

Brody has been a favorite of ours at Prep Redzone North Carolina, and he’s taken things to an even higher level this season. Brody is among the leaders in the state in receiving yardage, and it’s a testament to how well Brody has worked on his route running, speed, and catching ability. Brody is destroying man coverage this season and has developed the ability to high-point the football in one-on-one situations.

When we saw how well Hunt performed at our Prep Redzone Showcase, we were a bit surprised at his refined route running and sure hands. So, we’re not at all surprised that he’s having a breakout senior year. He has over 700 yards, including a school record-breaking 312-yard, four-touchdown outing.

We mentioned Hunt before the season as a guy who could potentially take the next step as a senior. He’s a strong route-runner, one of the best in the state, and the speed training he did in the offseason seems to be translating to the field. He’s on pace to catch 60 passes and eclipse the 800-yard mark for a South Iredell team looking for a spark after two tough non-conference losses.

is as solid as they come. With some of the best hands in the state and above-average speed (4.5), Hunt is a reliable playmaker with even more upside at the next level. Last season, he hauled in 10 touchdowns and racked up over 700 receiving yards for South Iredell. A two-sport athlete who also shines on the baseball field and lines up at defensive back, Hunt’s biggest impact this senior season will undoubtedly come at receiver. Don’t be surprised if he hits double-digit touchdowns once again.

My colleague Will Helms has been very high on Brody, so I was excited to see him up close myself. Last season, Brody had some good production for a South Iredell team that made the playoffs, and he showed why to me in person at this showcase. Brody showed some very good route-running skills and footwork that enabled him to get some separation on a variety of routes. I also thought Brody caught the ball well in tight spaces and tracked it all the way through the catch, something that doesn’t always come naturally to young receivers.

One of the best route-runners in the state, Hunt has dominated the camp circuit, winning multiple wide receiver MVP awards in spring camps. He accelerates quickly out of his breaks and then uses his body as a shield before catching the ball with his hands far out in front. That makes him a menace on out-breaking and comeback routes.
