Sometimes, offensive line evaluations can be difficult. For other players, however, the evaluation process can be fairly simple. In the case of Culp, he was a guy we’d seen multiple times in a camp setting when he weighed closer to 250 pounds than 300 pounds. We’d remark, “This kid is great, imagine if he put on some more good weight.” Well, now Culp is over the 300 mark, without losing the quickness or technique that initially impressed us.

Throughout watching practice during Bowl Week and then the game itself, I thought Brooks was the most complete and dominant offensive lineman on the East Team. Brooks is committed to East Carolina, and this might be one of those situations where a player’s best football is ahead of them in their career. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Brooks starting for a college football program in his future; that’s how much potential and skill he has shown.

A center prospect with great size, Brooks shows the ability to snap and step well to shaded techniques in the run game, and he’s nasty coming off the ball. I love seeing how well Brooks finishes in the run game, and he helps move the line of scrimmage for the Vikings consistently. Brooks has good strength and anchors well against smaller defensive linemen who try to use leverage to beat him in the passing game. Brooks is an All-Conference player and a hard worker who also throws shot put.
