About Luke

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would say I am a hard nose runner with excellent speed and shifty ability. I have good field vision and love catching out of the backfield or lined up as an extra receiver.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am hard-worker, and know that no one out there on the field is going to out-work or our-hustle me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Academic honors all semesters in high school

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My leadership skills have grown as I was named captain in 3 of our games this season. I also lead off-season workouts for players who want to join me and my trainers on agility and strength.

Pagan’s patience is among the best in the state, and his ability to wait for holes to open and then maximize yardage is impressive. He has some highlight-reel runs, but I’m most impressed with his ability to pick up five when it’s blocked for three, or pick up 10 when it’s blocked for five. Pagan ran for over 1,000 yards and provided stability to Green Level’s offense.

Pagan has been a workhorse this season, doing most of his damage against heavier boxes as defenses sell out to stop the run. Green Level has also spent a lot of its brutal conference slate in a negative game state, limiting Pagan’s carries. He flashed as a freshman, and as a sophomore, his pad level and contact balance have paid off in the form of consistent tackle-breaking. He’s also become a true receiving threat, something we love to see from young backs.

Pagan didn’t have a ton of gaping holes to run through as a freshman, but showed a tenacity and toughness that impressed us. He has good size for his age and he does a good job of getting up the field and holding onto the ball. We’re hoping he has more opportunities to break some big runs as a sophomore because we didn’t get many chances to see what he can do when he gets to the second level.
