About Jayden

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Plug and play. Anywhere you put me on the feel I'm bound to be a positive contributor to the team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am laidback, playful, try to be as helpful as I can and know when it's time to lock in it's time to lock in.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

A/B Honor Roll

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Brotherhood/friendship is the biggest quality I've developed since becoming involved with football. I was an only child until 2021 so my siblings were my teammates. I have friends through football that I've known since I was 5. Football definitely gives you a family you never knew you needed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my collar bone during a playoff game in my last game of youth football. May of 2023 Getting back to 100% for school ball was challenging. I love the game it was hard to just focus on getting healthy and not being able to practice and missing the first few school ball games was tough but we made it through!

What type of college are you looking for?

D1 Football with strong academic focus for business majors.

Arthur had the biggest impact as a traditional running back as a freshman for South Rowan, but he isn’t likely to just play there. He’s excellent as a receiver and has played some corner as well. If I had to guess, I’d imagine he’s going to be a guy who gets 10-15 touches a game from multiple different alignments, whether as a receiver, traditional runner, or on jet sweeps and screens.

Jayden had an impressive freshman season where he ended up being a contributor to a team that made the playoffs for the first time since 1984! Jayden made his contributions primarily as a running back. Looking at Jayden’s film, he runs with impressive power to be such a young prospect. Combining that with some good speed, Jayden has the look of a future potential bell-cow running back for the Raiders. I am excited to see how Jayden builds off of a strong start to his high school football career.

Arthur broke out in his first game with South Rowan, finishing with nearly 150 rushing yards, and wearing down the opposition as the game rolled on. He’s quick to the hole and loves to get downhill. He’s shown some good contact balance already and we think he’ll continue to get better as he grows.
