Will Helms | Prep Redzone Scout
Back in August, we pegged Presley as a guy who could rise in this rankings update, and that has come true as he’s taken the next step in his development. Last year, he showed some flashes, but lacked the type of consistency we want to see from upperclassmen. This year, the film is confirming what we saw of Presley in camp over the summer. He’s refined his accuracy, quickened his decision-making, and is leading a Hunter Huss squad that currently sits 5-2. He’s not a finished product, but the improvement is noted.

Presley is the ultimate, “Let’s see you do it on the field” guy for us. He struggled with consistent accuracy last year at East Gaston (But the flashes were really impressive) and then he showed out at our Prep Redzone Showcase. The arm talent is among the best in the state, so what will a transfer to Hunter Huss do for his stock? If he comes out and shows the offseason work paid off, he’ll move up.

An East Gaston transfer, Presley had a decent junior season, but really impressed me at our Prep Redzone Combine in Clayton at the beginning of May. He has nice release and throws a catchable ball. It might be too early to know what type of team Hunter Huss will have this season, but we think Presley could make a big jump between his junior and senior season.

delivered a strong performance at the combine, one that earned him an invite to the All-American Camp this June — a testament to both his physical tools and on-field presence. At 6’3″ and close to 200 pounds, Presley has the prototypical quarterback build that immediately catches the eye.
He showed poise throughout the day, taking coaching well and demonstrating a clear command of mechanics and footwork. While quarterback evaluations at camps can be difficult — especially with timing and chemistry often dependent on unfamiliar receivers — Presley still stood out, making accurate throws across a variety of routes and showcasing solid arm strength.
Presley has the frame, coachability, and natural ability that college programs look for in a signal-caller. As he continues to develop and refine his game, he’s a Class of 2026 quarterback to keep a close eye on heading into the fall.
