The Class of 2028 Rankings update has released! This time around, we have 45 New Additions, 119 total players, but only 14 players in the numbered rankings.

To the rest of the class- your time for a ranking will come. I have made the mistake of jumping the gun with freshmen prospects in the past, and I won't be doing that this time around. Expect a much larger rankings pool by August, after I get to watch much more of this class in person.

I'm not breaking any new ground ranking [player_tooltip player_id='1111167' first='Donald' last='Tabron II'] as the #1 player in this class. Right now, he's the easy #1. Again, shows shades of Dante Moore and [player_tooltip player_id='247690' first='Bryce' last='Underwood']. Has a legit shot to leave a legacy similar to those two guys.

Starting with the negatives, Jeremiah still needs to become more explosive off the line of scrimmage. In addition, route running needs an upgrade, and I don't love his change of direction.

The good- Jerrimiah has elite body control. So many highlights where Jerrimiah contorts his body to perfectly fit the pass. Perfect for goalline fades, 50/50 balls, and slightly inaccurate passes. In addition, Jerrimiah is physical and has great hands. Jerrimiah may be raw in some aspects, but all of his strengths play off of each other beautifully. I definitely see shades of Nick Marsh. I am incredibly, incredibly excited to see what Jerrimiah accomplishes at River Rouge!

Not a ton separating the Top 3 QBs. Though, after going back and forth, I've decided to rank Drew #2 in his position. Drew has the most high-level tough throws on his tape, plus, his freshman season was incredibly efficient.
Grayson is someone I've talked about quite a bit already. I am a big believer in his arm talent, and accuracy- at least in an offseason setting. He's a definite D1 prospect in my book, but his true ceiling should become more clear once he earns varsity starts.

A similar player to his former teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='977483' first='Jerrimiah' last='Cross']. Tyler is a physical receiver who is good at making catches in traffic. Though, I'd love to see better separation and overall play speed. Love Tyler's physicality, love the catch in traffic, but definitely need to see more when it comes to speed and change of direction. Still, enough upside to be a Division 1 prospect.

Jayden is a smart EDGE rusher. Watch his tape, and you'll see the upside. Against the run, Jayden does an excellent job of keeping himself anchored, keeping his eyes in the backfield, and attacking the ball carrier's intended gap. Then, Jayden has the strength to both shed his block and move the ballcarrier backward. In addition, Jayden has good bend and enough flexibility to make me confident in his Power 4 upside. I'm a little less confident in his current pass rush ability, but I'm confident he'll continue to grow in that department.

A good freshman season for [player_tooltip player_id='528080' first='Deondre' last='Hill'], and I'm excited to see his growth over this offseason.

As a linebacker, Deondre plays fast and rarely hesitates. Plenty of instances where Deondre blows past a would-be block and wraps up the ballcarrier near the line of scrimmage. I will say- I would love to see better physicality. Too many instances where Deondre seems to hold back.

At running back, Drew shows some flashes of good, physical running. He was about average in terms of speed and vision, though.

Lastly, a lot of his upside is aided by his size. Deondre is bigger and stronger than the vast majority of Class of 2028 prospects.

Jayden is a raw safety prospect but has enough buzz around him to be considered a low Power 4 prospect.

I like Jayden's tape against the run. He does a good job working downhill and filling the rushing lane. He still needs to learn how to play a step faster and be a little more physical, but this this area of play is definitely a strength of his.

Defending the pass, Jayden is quite inconsistent. Generally, he struggles with positioning but has the athleticism to make up ground extremely quickly. He's a hard worker in the offseason, so I have no doubt that he'll make strides with his IQ this Spring/Summer.

Huge upside for AJ. I said this already pretty recently, but I consider AJ more of a WR than TE mostly because of his height. If he's still able to grow to 6'4"- 6'5", TE is definitely in play. If he's 6'2"-6'3", I'd say WR is the best offensive fit.

AJs tape shows that he's a dang good high school TE. Although he's a little undersized for the position, he's able to get his nose dirty and block larger D-Linemen. Plus, there's a couple of good downfield blocks. As a receiver, there isn't much tape. Not much tape in general of AJ securing receptions. Still, I like the athlete, love the physicality, and he should still be on his way to D1 college football.

Entering 0 offer territory here!

I really, really like [player_tooltip player_id='1331349' first='Austin' last='Nelson'] from East Kentwood. This past season, Austin played incredibly well against a grueling schedule. Defending the pass, Austin has a ton of man-to-man highlights. His biggest strength right now is his break speed and ball skills. If the ball is thrown anywhere nearby, Austin is able to explode out of his position and convert a difficult PBU. As for his athletic traits, he has an average backpetal and average eye disipline. He looks a little stiff, but still, way ahead of the curve for a Class of 2028 prospect.

Plus, the OK-Red has a few elite rushing offenses, and Austin did an excellent job defending those. Just like the passing game, Austin launches himself out of a cannon once he reads the run. I'd still like to see a few more run stops, but overall, his highlights are good.

Austin has D1 tape, but I'm afraid his height could limit offers. Most D1 programs I talk to have a soft cutoff of 6'0" for their DBs.

A huge freshman season for [player_tooltip player_id='1399506' first='Luke' last='Perkins']. Already good IQ, plays fast, and plays physical. Ideal size, too.

A lot going for Luke right now, but he's still a little up in the air when it comes to college recruiting. Is he a D1 prospect right now? No. Can he develop into a D1 prospect? Absolutely.

The main thing I see keeping Luke from D1 opportunities is athleticism. Luke looks a bit stiff, and needs to prove he can be a sideline-to-sideline player. Without much improvement, I'd say he's a low D2 guy. If he really develops, he's a potential Power 4 guy. It's all about work ethic and a little bit of luck. Luke is ranked based on his upside and 2024 production, but his final ranking in a few years could be anywhere in the top 200.

Another player who is ranked because of his extremely productive freshman season, but his upside is very up in the air.

I really like Calvin as a high school EDGE. He flies past offensive linemen, has good bend, and gets to the QB extremely fast. Even if he doesn't win with his initial move, Calvin does a great job of hand-fighting and eventually shedding the block. Finally, Calvin does a good job of anchoring himself when defending the run. He rarely gets moved.

Calvin is still raw in several areas, and his height is a major problem for his recruitment. At 6'1", he's not going to get little to no D1 or D2 attention at EDGE. If he doesn't grow at least 3 inches, Calvin's defensive upside likely lies at linebacker or DT. If "going D1" isn't a top priority, Calvin can easily deep destroying offenses as a high school EDGE rusher. Excited to see how Calvin ends up developing.
