Continue ReadingWednesday, June 12th, saw nearly 1,000 prospects from all around the country congregate at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and one of the Midwest and nation’s premier mega camps. In what was a whirlwind of testing, positional drills, and 1v1 unpadded competition while trying to stay ahead of the unpredictable weather, athletes from half a dozen graduating classes competed on the fields of the Falcon’s top-notch DIII facility in front of the eyes from coaches from the P4 to DIII and NAIA level. An excellent opportunity to get noticed if you’re a high school football player, scholarship offers and roster spots are already pouring out to high school football athletes, and PrepRedzone was the lone media representative in attendance. Thanks so much to Head Coach Matt Walker and the rest of the Falcon’s excellent staff for having PrepRedzone out, we had an awesome time. With so many campers to try and watch, some top performers and standouts were certainly missed, but here are the players who caught my eye throughout the day of competition. Can’t wait for next year!

MVPs
Dolapo Egunjobi (Fort Richmond Collegiate, Winnipeg, Manitoba) Collegiate transfer with two years of eligibility remaining. 6’5, 318 lbs.
A Canadian prospect who is a current UND bounceback and college transfer, Egunjobi was one of the most obvious P4-worthy athletes I have ever seen. Barely any fat on his 318 pounds, Egunjobi was built like a brick, and holy cow did he test well. P4 coaches turned their head and eagerly inched closer to the massive OT prospect from our Neighbor Up North after he popped off a 4.95 shuttle, and he followed it with a beautiful 9’4″ broad jump with Wisconsin and Indiana coaches looking on. It was a fluid, smooth, and explosive jump that I’ve never seen from a 300+ lber., and Egunjobi followed it with an outstanding and dominant performance during 1v1s. Absurdly powerful, great technique, and confident, Egunjobi performed exactly how you’d hope a college-age kid would perform against high schoolers and was the outright best lineman in attendance. Could drop his anchor and hold even the biggest and strong DL at bay during 1v1s. Definitely a lot to figure out in terms of what happened at UND and just how/why he’s so under-the-radar currently, but this is top-tier athleticism in a great build for P4 football. I’m taking a flyer out on this kid if I’m one of the B1G teams in attendance at the UW-River Falls Mega Camp. Shoutout to Brad Black of RecruitReady for putting this athletic freak in front of us!

(Stillwater, MN) 2025. CB. 5’11, 161 lbs.
Fantastic showing from the Stillwater CB, who is on a heckuva tear this spring and summer. With CBs under 6′, you want to see speed and explosive ability, and Gora showed off both during the UWRF Mega Camp, recording the #1 broad jump at the camp with an eye-popping 10’7″. Also clocked a 33″ vert and a 4.53 shuttle, but didn’t run the 40. The speed showed up during 1v1s, where he was easily able to stay on top of WRs going vertical and closes space and gets out of his breaks with noticeable pace. Gora was one of the stickiest DBs in attendance, with good length and the ability to press effectively, and I loved his impressive ability to maintain phase with WRs and showed excellent COD and body control while staying hip-to-hip with quality competition. Really liked his focus and competitiveness, and he did a good job of getting as many reps as possible in a crowded DB group. Props to Mankato State for getting in first and finding Gora themselves back in April. I think FCS schools should take a hard look at this kid.

did not disappoint. Has clocked a 10.88 in the 100M and 21.69 in the 200M this spring during outdoor track season and came into the camp with Ohio, Air Force, Army, Central Michigan, and UNI offers. Earned a St. Thomas after the camp due to his performance. Top-end speed was noticeable in all phases of the camp, and he had great hips and some of the best pace out of his breaks at the camp. Can get hip-to-hip and close in a hurry. Saw him make some impressive PBUs throughout the day and was fluid, explosive, and productive. Nearly a 37″ vertical, and recorded a 4.6 40, 4.13 shuttle (!), and 9’7″ broad. Good name to continue to watch in the race of potential P4 risers, especially in the Upper Midwest. I watched him get pulled by Minnesota Gophers Nickels/Assistant LB Mariano Sori-Marin to take a picture and check, so he’s definitely on P4 radars. Great job by the Menomonee Falls product!
Evan McCarty Evan McCarty 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Wayzata | 2025 State MN (Wayzata, MN) 2025. OL. 6’5, 245 lbs.
I think Wayzata’s rising senior OT Evan McCarty Evan McCarty 6'6" | 250 lbs | OL Wayzata | 2025 State MN is one of the biggest hidden gems in Minnesota. Verified 6’5, 245 lbs., went 5.22 in the 40, 4.75 in the shuttle, and popped off an 8’11” broad and 28.3″ vertical. Frame resembles that of a power forward, with noticeable length in his harms and the frame to hold 40-50 more pounds and retain his athleticism. McCarty was one of the better offensive line prospects during drill work, displaying bend, flexibility, and quickness. Used his length to his advantage in 1v1s and showed off a solid pass set and strength at the point of attack. Got some good Ws throughout the day. Under-recruited right now, holding offers from St. Thomas and Minot State. I think he has FCS upside and Missouri Valley schools should be keeping a close eye on him throughout camp season and once senior tape starts to come out.

(Edina, MN) 2025. CB. 6’2, 160 lbs.
One of the biggest winners from the budding summer camp in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, I missed on Sorrell in the spring 2025 update and he once again made me look foolish. The junior tape really doesn’t do justice to how big, long, physical, and athletic the Edina Hornets CB is, and he is quite a competitive DB prospect who seems to thrive and do his best work during competition and 1v1 settings. Premium size and length at 6’2, 160 lbs., Sorrell popped off a 34″ vert, 4.66 40, 4.31 shuttle, and 9’6 broad, and his change of direction ability and body control helped dominate and bully WRs during 1v1s. I was particularly impressed by the timing, physicality, and strength of his punch when pressing, and he showed he’s got the the hips and feet to press and play man coverage at the next level. Saw him gain a ton of attention from college coaches watching, as well as pop over to some different groups in order to get more reps. Love the competitiveness and coachability. Holds six FCS offers right now and is bound for more.

(Janesville Parker, WI) 2026. OL. 6’5, 270 lbs.
Another strong showing from the rising junior and rising star from Janesville, Wisconsin. With athleticism at an eye-catching 6’5, 270 lbs. (4.97 shuttle, 7’11” broad), Meier caught the attention of the P4s in attendance, getting pulled aside by the Golden Gophers with an invite to their upcoming prospect camps. Flexible, strong, and possessing massive hands, Meier had a heavy initial punch, was laterally quick and showed off nimble and light footwork, and had good balance, especially post-contact. Didn’t get to watch him as much as I’d like to have, but he’s shown up and played like one of the best OL in attendance at back-to-back camps, one padded and one unpadded. Really high ceiling and a budding star on the recruiting trail still at the genesis of his recruitment. Great job once again by the rising junior offensive lineman.
Mitch Nigro (Marquette University High School, WI) 2025. LB. 6’3, 235 lbs.
Coming off his school’s first state title, which happened to come in Wisconsin’s biggest division, LB Mitch Nigro balled out at the UW-River Falls Mega Camp. Passed the eye test with flying colors as a 6’3, 235 lb. ‘backer, Nigro nearly went 30″ on the vert and sub-5-seconds in the 40, along with a 4.63 shuttle and 8’4 broad jump. Looked fluid, quick, and reactive when changing direction and was nimble and showed off good burst for his size. Had a strong showing in all three phases of the showcase and was effective in coverage against smaller, quicker RB prospects. Could bump down to DL in college but did have some noticeable and impressive movement skills as an XL linebacker.
Miles Dawkins Miles Dawkins 6'0" | 195 lbs | DB Verona | 2025 State WI (Verona Area, WI) 2025. Safety. 5’10, 195 lbs.
Powerful build, fluid athlete, and caught my eye during both drill work with the DBs and during 1v1s. Dawkins had a good showing during 1v1s as a safety, which required a lot bigger cushion out of the slot and required a different set of coverage ability as opposed to a press corner, but his patience, ability to closes space out of his breaks, and ability to recognize and identify routes during the rep made for a ton of PBUs throughout the day. Wasn’t worried about who the WR was, rose to the competition, and was physical when playing the ball at the catch point. Also looked good closing and using pursuit angles in box drills against RBs and LB competition alike. Comfortable in space and has a good skillset for coverage from the safety position.
Brady Bortz Brady Bortz 6'4" | 255 lbs | DL Kiel | 2025 State WI (Kiel, WI) 2025. DL. 6’3, 264 lbs.
Good size, now verified, and popped off a 30″ vertical, 5.12 40, 7’8″ broad, and 4.77 shuttle during testing. Already at 264 pounds, Bortz looked lean and carried the weight well, showing notable room to fill in as well. Showed good quickness and body control during a multitude of testing for his DL group. Quick, controlled, and had a focused, go-hard, first-in-line attitude that helped me get a good amount of time to watch him. Good athlete and mobile for his size. Holds one offer from Minnesota-Duluth.
Blake Ryan (Middleton, WI) 2025. OL. 6’4, 260 lbs.
Caught my eye during drill work and impressed even more when I looked back at his testing performance. Verified size at 6’4, 260 who went 4.78 in the shuttle and 8’3″ in the broad. Change of direction was impressive, and he was quick and didn’t waste movement during positional work. Flexible kid and looks like he’d be effective in space when padded up. Coachable and was a first-in-line, go-hard competitor. I like the athleticism and mobility he brings to the table as an OL prospect. No offers yet.

clocked the 5th fastest 40 in attendance, coming in with a blazing 4.49 40. Also added a 34″ vert, 4.31 shuttle, and 9’9.75″ broad. Kid is explosive, and he was dangerous and productive during 1v1s, showing a good route running skillset and some lightning-quick feet. Created separation and had defenders on their heels all afternoon long. Earned Northern State and Bemidji State offers due to his performance.
Iggie Cooper Iggie Cooper 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Osseo | 2025 State MN (Osseo, MN) 2025. WR. 6’2, 197 lbs.
A known name in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, and one I was very excited to see live, as he has no junior tape from 2023. One of the better-built WRs in attendance, Cooper is athletic, clocking a 33″ vert, 4.75 40, 4.44 shuttle, and 9’5 broad. Good length, he has a big catch radius and is explosive when high-pointing and playing the ball in the air. Consistently created separation at the LOS and was powerful and impressive out of his breaks. Hands were inconsistent and I would have liked to see him finish some more reps, but he’s an eye-catcher and offers a potentially big-time package to a collegiate program as a WR. Poised for a big senior season playing 6A ball with Osseo.
Caleb Pedersen (Lakeville North, MN) 2025. WR. 5’10, 171 lbs.
Lakeville product Pedersen caught my eye during 1v1s, showing off a dynamic route running ability that was further emphasized by his 31.3 vert, 4.19 shuttle, and 8’8 broad. Could create separation at multiple points throughout a route, had some of the quickest feet in attendance, and tracked the ball really well. He had some DBs on skates due to that COD ability. Good showing and a new name for me to add to the 2025 rankings.

(Champlin Park, MN) 2025. DB. 5’7, 155 lbs.
Not the biggest DB in attendance, but Briggs is absolutely one of the fastest and is a heckuva gamer. Clocked the third fastest 40 with a 4.46, and stayed on top of the fastest and most explosive WRs in attendance all day longer. Also added a 36.9″ vertical, 4.53 shuttle, and 8’11” broad. Did a good job of maintaining phase with receivers, competitive and physical at the catch point, tracked and played the ball aggressively in the air, and got out of his breaks smoothly. Stock-rising performance from the athletic DB out of 6A Metro competitor Champlin Park.
Stevan Gavric (Libertyville, IL) 2025. WR. 6’4, 178 lbs.
Absurdly long, Gavric was a matchup nightmare during 1v1s. Recorded a 36″ vert, 4.79 40, 4.41 shuttle, and 9’10” broad. Did a great job of using his quickness and length to create a big catch radius and separation at the top of the route, and was able to reel in and complete receptions through contact. Soft hands, did a good job of getting DBs to overcommit and open the gate, and could capitalize once he saw the mistake. Put in some good work during 1v1s and presents a hard-to-find and unique skillset and physical trait combination that shows up very well in 1v1 settings.

Another exposure point for Western Wisconsin’s gunslinger Donnelly, a multi-time PrepRedzone Showcase top performer and veteran, and this was one of his best days. Pretty complete package at QB. Good size, good athlete (33.9 vert, 4.87 40, 4.47 shuttle, 9’3″ broad), and was really slinging the rock around at the UWRF Mega Camp. Threw a couple beautiful bombs right into the breadbasket of a streaking WR far downfield, and showed off noticeable and impressive timing, accuracy, and velocity on his shorter and more intermediate throws. The big thing for Donnelly is staying consistent, something that can be tough over a full day of throws, but when he’s on, he’s on, and I thought Donnelly was one of the top performers from the QB group at the UWRF Mega Camp.

(Park Center, MN) 2025. WR. 5’6, 145 lbs.
Not the biggest wideout in attendance, Brooks was one of the most athletic, as well as one of the most dangerous. Popped off a 35.5″ vert, 4.57 40, 4.38 shuttle, and 8’11.25″ broad jump. Won some 1v1 reps in exciting fashion, leaving DBs grasping at air or shaking their head in bemusement as he cut and broke by them in a blink. One of the crispiest route runners in attendance, with speed at the top end to pull away from DBs when going vertical, and was a natural at getting DBs to bite or overcommit. Twitchy out of his breaks, naturally stacked DBs once he got a step, and displayed some ball skills as well. Couldn’t help but notice the Park Center rising senior.

Another PrepRedzone veteran and standout, Ngwendson’s athleticism is well-known throughout the state, and the cut-up, jacked up TE/DE had another good testing showing by going 38.2 in the vert (good for third in of the entire camp, 4.31 in the shuttle, and 10′ broad, which tied for fourth best of the entire UWRF Mega Camp. We’ve clocked Ngwendson in nearly the 4.7s in the 40 as well, and I saw him burn a couple smaller DBs deep for some impressive vertical ability. I also liked his big catch radius, soft hands, and strength at the catch point. He could win contested catches and high-point the ball well for a projected TE. I could see him playing on either side of the ball in college, and versatility is a great trait to have as a college football prospect. Surprised this kid hasn’t blown up a little more. Passes the eye test with flying colors and has real-deal athleticism to boot at 6’2, 225 lbs. Get at him!

One of the best athletes in the underclassman group. Went 4.58 in the 40, 34.1 vertical, 4.14 shuttle (!), and 9’2 broad jump. Fourth best shuttle of the day. Proved himself to be a massive deep threat who could take opponents vertical all afternoon long. One of the best players in the underclassmen group of prospect.
Bode Goerger (Wayzata, MN) 2025. TE. 6’4, 218 lbs.
Exciting new name in the MN 2025 class out of a traditional powerhouse with size and athleticism behind him. Goerger rocks long arms, a lean, ready-to-fill-in frame, and popped off a 29″ vert, 4.59 shuttle, and 8’9″ broad. Had some juice as a route runner and could create separation at the top of the route, big catch radius, could win 50/50 balls, and is an overall massive target in the pass game. Must-know scholarship-worthy TE out of the 6A Metro ranks.

(Marquette University High School, WI) 2025. OL. 6’5, 250 lbs.
One of the bigger OL in attendance who passed the eye test thanks to his wide, thick, powerful upper body who held his 250 pounds well, Nolan clocked a 8’4″ broad that had some of the D1 college coaches turning their heads and checking out of the rising senior OL from a Wisconsin D1 powerhouse. Didn’t get to watch him during 1v1s, but he’s fluid, controlled, and mobile at his size.
Caleb Danielson (Amery, WI) 2025. LB. 6’3, 201 lbs.
Love the length and speed he brought to the position. Could go step-for-step with the fastest RBs, used his long arms to compete at the catch point and break up some passes impressively, change direction and start/stop in space well, and was one of the top testers out of the LB group, clocking a 31.8″ vert, 4.65 40, 4.25 shuttle, and 9’9″ broad. Would love to get this kid on my team if I was a college coach and/or recruiter.
Dalton DeBoer Dalton DeBoer 6'7" | 280 lbs | OL Holy Angels | 2026 State MN (Holy Angels, MN) 2026. OT. 6’6, 332 lbs.
Undoubtedly one of the biggest prospects in attendance, DeBoer popped off a 8′ broad with Wisconsin Badgers OL AJ Blazek sternly looking on. Also popped off a 4.87 shuttle. The change of direction and athletic ability are already there for the monster 2026 OT, who already holds a Kent State offer. Very much on the radar of P4s in attendance.

Solid size for a safety, went 29.1″ in the vert, 4.8 in the 40, 4.46 shuttle, and 9′ broad. Caught my attention with a booming, physical press on a talented WR that knocked him backward and off track to disrupt the timing and landmarks of his opponents route. Gotta like a safety who will press!

New name for me out of the rising senior class in MN, Champlin Park High School’s Mohamed Jalloh was an eye-catcher during drill work thanks to his long arms and great frame for the next level.
