Another athlete who is going to be a game-changing steal in the Class of 2025 is Miles Dawkins Miles Dawkins 6'0" | 190 lbs | DB Verona | 2025 State WI . Through his years of varsity experience, Miles has developed strong instincts to diagnose plays and know where the ball is going. That allows him to get a head start on attacking the ball. Pair that with his range and you get a safety/nickel that is able to cover ground and make a lot of plays on the ball. Miles has the ball skills to time his hands perfectly and also reel in the pass for INTs. Dawkins doesn’t hesitate to do the physical side of the DB position either. He runs through his tackles as he tries to use those hits to get the PBU or at least completely shut down any forward progression. The senior also has quick feet and loose hips to be able to transition and change direction. Not to mention he has been an excellent gunner on the punt team. Get your eyes on this kid.

Verona has arguably the top defense in WI and a big reason we are seeing so many of their athletes dominate is because they can be aggressive and take chances with a guy like Miles Dawkins Miles Dawkins 6'0" | 190 lbs | DB Verona | 2025 State WI playing safety on the backend. Miles has the sideline to sideline range to be able to make plays all over the field. The senior has a very high football IQ as well. It shows up all over the highlights like jumping routes or attacking short passing routes and making the tackle right after the catch to prevent any extra yards. That range plus Miles’ high level of tackling have also made him a special teams ace who can be the first man down the field to make the tackle. Check him out.

For our next standout Verona 2025 we go to the backend of the defense. Safety Miles Dawkins Miles Dawkins 6'0" | 190 lbs | DB Verona | 2025 State WI has been a fixture of the Verona defense for a while now. The 6′ 195 lbs 2025 plays with great awareness and a high IQ thanks to all his experience. When asked to play a deep half zone we see him read the QB and close on the ball quickly. He is one of those players who always seems to be in the right place at the right time to make a play on the ball because of that awareness and range. Dawkins has also shown that you can have him match up with a slot receiver man to man and be able to stick on them and break up passes. The versatility that Miles brings to the field is so valuable for DCs at the next level. Don’t let him go under the radar. Check the film.

Another standout to know at the position is Miles Dawkins Miles Dawkins 6'0" | 190 lbs | DB Verona | 2025 State WI . Miles plays a lot in the slot, and it fits the 6′ 195 lbs junior well. The big DB is strong and able to reroute WRs at the line. Dawkins has the quick feet to be able to cut with the quick receivers. He has shown good timing at the catch point to break up passes. Plus being out on the edge has allowed him to get involved in stopping the outside run. The rising junior does well against that with his size and strength. I’m excited to see him continue to develop over this next year, and see where he lines up throughout the games. I believe he could play slot or safety also.
