Apparently, I have a thing for prospects from Verona. Especially when coaching without bias and without an IRL roster, I always seem to find Wildcat prospects all over the position board, and rising senior LB

is a really fun one when looking at the Wisconsin 2027 linebacker class. A First Team All-Conference, All-Region, and state qualifying wrestler, the Wildcat’s rising senior measured in at 6’1, 212 and popped off a 4.87 40 by my hand, as well as posted 4.49 shuttle, 9’9 broad, and 33.6″ vert during testing of the 2026 UWRF MNWI Mega Camp. In addition to the size, Guenzler-Soda was nimble, could accelerate and burst out of his breaks, and shut down and stop on a dime. Also dynamic in coverage and could match up well against a variety of different RBs and slotbacks. Great frame to continue adding weight, strength, and explosiveness as well.

One of the best overall LBs in the state put on a show at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp, and when it comes to uncommitted LBs you will be hard pressed to find a more talented one. Looking at the combine numbers from the 6’1″ 212 lbs LB we see numbers that verify the tape from 2025:
- 4.91 40 Yard Dash
- 4.49 Shuttle
- 9’9″ Broad Jump
- 33.6″ Vertical Jump
The highly productive LB out of Verona roamed his way to 100+ tackles as a junior. The ILB has great combine numbers, matching his explosive and powerful athleticism that allows him to play through the trenches and provide stout run support. What the tape shows that the combine can’t is that Jack plays even faster because of his instincts and how quickly he can read and react. That alone seems to give him an extra half step every snap. The talented LB holds offers from Upper Iowa, SMSU, St. Thomas, Western Illinois, Butler, and Sioux Falls.

Jack is a little different than the others in this list. He isn’t an overwhelming 220 lbs athlete that can use that size and momentum to crush ball carriers. Instead he has done a great job strengthening his 205 lbs frame and become a great form tackler. Jack does a fantastic job of using his athleticism to also boost how hard he tackles. You see that closing burst that puts the momentum swinging into his favor, and from there the 2027 LB never stops his feet until he is burying the opponent into the ground. Jack’s range and burst paired with his 205 lbs frame has made him one of the hardest hitting LBs in the state.

. The 6’1″ 195 lbs ’27 checks the boxes. Fast, physical, violent, and smart. He is so quick to diagnose plays and has the speed to take what he sees and put himself in the right place to make plays. He has the three down abilities of a talented ILB. One who can roam the secondary while reading the QB. That ability to flip his hips in space and run with athletes separates him from the crowd. Against the run you see the ability to flow with the play. The ability to always be coming downhill, even when pursuing outside the tackle box. I’m a big fan of Jack and I am excited to watch him further verify he is one of the entire state’s best LBs.

The 6’1″ 195 lbs junior out of Verona is a monster in the middle of their defense. Jack is relentless. He isn’t the biggest athlete, but he plays much bigger than his frame suggests. All while still bringing outstanding athleticism for the position. That athleticism is a cheat code for him. Both on his blitzes and with his pursuit to the sideline or dropping into coverage. Jack is an easy mover in space, but then he has that violent mentality to be able to flip a switch when blitzing or filling against the run. I’m looking forward to Jack putting together a big summer.

Verona had no shortage of talent on their 2024 defense, so seeing a sophomore LB make a big impact tells you a lot about Jack. The Top 5 LB wrecks havoc between the tackles with his quickness and ability to turn that quickness into power. That power should only become more impactful as he continues to fill out his frame and push towards 200 lbs. Jack dominated 2024 with his blitzing. Over and over you see him slice into the backfield and ruin plays before they had a chance to develop. Jack attacks at full speed every snap and closes so quickly on the ball. I think Jack is on his way towards becoming a special LB prospect.
