North Rock Creek has won three straight games after a 1-3 start with a convincing win over Anadarko. They’ve taken another step towards making their first playoff appearance in school history. Leading the way once again for North Rock Creek was junior star Caleb Hawkins Caleb Hawkins 6’2″ | 205 lbs | ATH North Rock Creek | 2025 State OK on both sides of the ball. The Chandler Lions have to be considered a serious contender in Class 2A moving forward. The only loss on their schedule this season was to 4A’s #2 Poteau. And the Lions have a few players that are among the best in the class. Senior Carson Clagg Carson Clagg 5’10” | 190 lbs | LB Chandler | 2024 State OK definitely belongs in that conversation for what he can do in all three phases of the game. In their shutout win over Crossings Christian, Clagg was excellent at the running back position. He finished with nearly 30 carries on the night for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also had a blocked punt in special teams. But we are fired up for what’s next for Clagg and the Lions. They host Jones on Friday night and that will more than likely be a head to head match-up for the district championship and one of the top games in Class 2A.

Every week, we put out a spotlight on the players to watch in some of the top games across the state. Sometimes, we get it right and this is one of those cases. Bixby sophomore quarterback Carson Kirby Carson Kirby 5’11” | 185 lbs | QB Bixby | 2026 State OK was one of those players to watch heading into week seven and he was flawless in the win over Broken Arrow. Kirby has put up some really good numbers this season but you can make the argument that Friday’s win over the Tigers was Kirby’s best game of his young career. The Bixby sophomore finished with just over 300 yards and six touchdowns on 15-18 passing. Kirby is just one of several quarterbacks that the Spartans use but he’s arguably the best passer of the bunch. And Kirby is going to be a quarterback to watch moving forward this season and beyond.
On Friday, we added Deer Creek junior quarterback Grady Adamson Grady Adamson 6’1″ | 215 lbs | QB Deer Creek | 2025 State OK to our PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year watchlist. He followed that up with a dominant performance in the win over Lawton. Adamson torched the Lawton defense as the Antlers continue to pick up momentum with the playoffs right around the corner. Adamson threw for just under 200 yards and five touchdowns on 13-15 passing. He also added 75 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Adamson is an underrated athlete at the quarterback position and he can put up some big numbers in the ground game when he needs to be. the state’s 2025 quarterback class is arguably the best in the last decade and Adamson is near the top of that group. Friday’s efficient performance was another example of why.

After another tough loss to Wagoner in week six, Cushing bounced back in a major way with a 41-6 win over the road against McLain. Cushing quarterback John Hilligoss John Hilligoss 6’0″ | QB Cushing | 2024 State OK had a big evening in the win over the Titans. He finished with nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns through the air. He also added two touchdowns on the ground. Cushing fell to Wagoner in the 4A title game a year ago in a heartbreaker and then fell by a point to the Bulldogs in week six. Bouncing back the way they did was impressive to see. Cushing is also one step closer to a home playoff game and locking up the two seed in the district. The Tigers lost a special senior class but Hilligoss is making sure that the Cushing offense is still among the best in Class 4A and that they are still a team to watch
Westmoore senior and Houston commit Micheal Graham Micheal Graham 6’0″ | ATH Del City | 2024 State OK continues to show why he’s one of the best players in the state. Graham led the Jaguars to a dominating win over Enid in week seven and he had another complete performance as arguably the best dual-threat quarterback in the state. Graham threw for 168 yards and four touchdowns on 17-24 passing. He also added 114 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Graham has put up monster numbers all season and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down anytime soon. But this week brings the toughest test of the season. Graham and the Jaguars will host top-ranked Bixby on Friday night. If Westmoore can pull off what would be the upset of the year, Graham and the Jags would send shockwaves across the state.
After dropping back to back district contests, Beggs bounced back in a major way with a win over Okmulgee. And junior standout Ryan Grayson Ryan Grayson 6’0″ | 160 lbs | DB Beggs | 2025 State OK continued to show why he’s one of the best players in the state. Grayson finished the night with over 350 all purpose yards and five touchdowns in the win. He finished with three touchdowns on the ground and also had a receiving touchdown on offense. Then on defense, Grayson finished with two interceptions and took one of them back for a 100+ yard touchdown. Grayson was also a threat as a return man in special teams. We got a chance to put on some of the film from the win and it was very impressive. It looked like Grayson had a gear that no other player on the field had when he got into the open field.
After three straight losses to the toughest opponents in their district slate, Pauls Valley would bounce back in a big way with big win over Plainview. They keep their playoff hopes alive with the win and leading the way was their junior standout Tanner Perry Tanner Perry 5’9″ | ATH Pauls Valley | 2025 OK at the quarterback position. Perry does the most of his damage on the ground and that’s what happened in the win in week seven. Perry finished with nearly 100 yards passing on 9-11 passing. But he would finish the night with nearly 30 carries and over 200 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. He accounted for all five Pauls Valley touchdowns. With the win over Plainview and the games against Heritage Hall, Marlow and Sulphur behind them, they are in a good spot to make the playoffs by taking care of business.
Class 5A’s top-ranked Carl Albert continued their dominant ways with a blowout win over rival Bishop McGuinness. The Titans have some of the best players in the state and on any given night, you can see a different player lead the way for the defending champs. In the win over McGuinness, junior standout Trystan Haynes Trystan Haynes 6’2″ | 165 lbs | ATH Carl Albert | 2025 State OK was that star leading the way in the win. He finished the game with just five catches but they went for 182 yards and three touchdowns on the night. He also had an interception on the defensive side of the ball and his night was done by halftime. Haynes is widely considered one of the top prospects in the state’s 2025 class and Thursday’s performance was a good example of why. Now, they get ready for a showdown with #3 Guthrie on the road.
