He was one half of an excellent running back duo at Lincoln Christian this season. He also turned around and was one of Lincoln’s top tacklers on defense and an absolute force at the linebacker position. Brooks had his junior season end very early on in 2022 and committed himself to the weight room. Head coach Jerry RIcke mentioned how Brooks wasn’t going to let that setback define his career and he came back stronger than ever in 2023. And when you look at his production, there is no doubt that he was one of the best football players in Oklahoma this fall.

Lincoln Christian might have a handful of players that could fit under the “breakout star” category. He leads the team in tackles on the defensive side of the ball but he’s also given Fullingim and the Lincoln offense another weapon to use on the offensive side of the ball. Brooks also has over 1,000 yards this season and has reached the end zone 15 times. And it feels like he has gotten stronger as the season has gone on. His production, specifically on the offensive side of the ball, continues to get better and better.

Lincoln Christian’s offense is about as balanced as it gets. Not only do they have one of the best quarterbacks in the class that can light up a defense with his arm, but they have two different running backs that has over 1,000 yards on the ground. On offense, he’s a 1,000 yard rusher. But on defense, he’s one of Lincoln Christian’s top linebackers and he has racked up the tackles this season. And Lincoln Christian’s front seven is going to be very important as they try to slow down Perkins-Tryon’s power run game.
