About Roman

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I was taught by my father, my former coach and a former semi-pro football player. I am a technician when it comes to form and fundamentals. I am relentless and don't quit. I am a dog.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'll do Whatever it takes, I'll play wherever it takes. I play D line also and love it. When I make a mistake, I use it to get better.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play Center/Forward in Hockey. Baseball I play 1st, 3rd and Pitch. I played Catcher for 7 years. I have my boaters safety and enjoy waverunning, fishing and hunting.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I wanted to take on a leadership role without stepping on the older kids toes. My coach gave me some leadership responsibilities, and I have embraced it. Now I need to show my fire on the field and lead my line. I'm 1 of 13 children and love to help others. When it comes to my teammates, they see I won't be outworked. This is my example.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Early in the season I tore my labrum but said nothing because I didn't want to come out of the game. In our 2nd round playoff game I hurt my knee by getting rolled up on. We thought possible ACL, MCL or PCL. Went to see a specialist and found out my lower hamstring locked up to protect my knee. After digging out the knots, some analgesic and hot compresses it loosened up. I played the whole game.

What type of college are you looking for?

Looking to play D1. I started as a Freshman in a program that hasn't started one since 2016. That player is now in the NFL. I love playing Center and have been very successful however our team needed a L Guard so I stepped up because I just wanted to play. My goal would be to play Sundays, but I need to Focus on Fridays for now. I'm going do my best to be an example to my other linemates.

Flipping to the offensive side of the ball, my top choice on the OL is Roman Holtz Roman Holtz Roman Holtz 6'3" | 275 lbs | OL/EDGE Arrowhead | 2028 State WI . Roman plays on the interior, and that could delay the offers as teams go after the prototypical OTs. But it is hard to ignore what Roman has to offer and the potential for what he could show this season after having an offseason to grow, get stronger, and develop his game. Holtz already has varsity experience, proved he could anchor an OL and provide his QB with a secure pocket to step up into and also move the big IDL in the run game. We could very well be on the verge of Roman breaking onto the recruiting scene, and I’m grabbing a front row seat for it as Week 1 nears.
