, was another standout at the RB position. Devin is the bigger of the two backs, checking in at 5’10” 175 lbs with 10″ hands and a 6’2″ wingspan. Even as a little larger of a back, Devin still performed well in the combine. He his 4.87 in the 40, dominated the agility tests with a 4.37 and 4.25 shuttle time and 7.28 and 7.12 L-Drill times.
Devin has outstanding power in his lower body that shows itself in the form of that burst and acceleration out of change of direction. It wasn’t just the combine that highlighted it. Devin can cut on a dime with the ball in his hands and also did well creating separation in 1 on 1 receiving reps vs LBs. The explosive RB is well on his way to maintaining that RB1 spot in the Class of 2028.

I’ve been excited to see Devin hit the varsity field and the #1 RB in the Class of 2028 got his chance this season. He hit the ground running, showing great instincts and feel for the position. The ’28 is was quick through traffic, including his TD run where he showed off that explosive acceleration through the hole. He also has the frame to handle absorbing contact while keeping his feet and gaining yards after contact. I was impressed by how well he can move laterally too. Some of his lateral cuts had him covering ground very quickly and it gave him angles to make make something out of nothing. I’m very excited that we get a couple more seasons of watching Devin ball out. Definitely check this kid out and have him high on your recruiting boards for 2028s.

What an embarrassment of riches for Arrowhead when it comes to their RB talent. Devin is 3rd on the team in carries and tied for 2nd in rushing yards. He also leads the way in receiving among the three RBs. Devin provides elite depth that no other team can match. Being able to rotate RBs and always attack the defense with a fresh, electric athlete in the backfield gives the offense a major mismatch. Devin provides that depth and outstanding playmaking abilities. I’m fired up to watch this kid and his backfield teammates work on Friday night!

Devin will have to bide his time, and put in a lot of work to see varsity time this fall. Arrowhead returns a ton to their backfield this fall, but even so Devin is blessed with so much natural talent that we could see him find some reps as the season goes on. The current RB for his Class has a reported 4.5 40 at 5’11” 180 lbs. A great frame to build on, and a great base of speed to build on and break open games with. The ’28 RB displays great patience and vision in his freshman tape as a runner and returner too. When his time comes, Devin is going to be a game-changing playmaker.

I was hyped to see that RB1 in the Class of 2028 was registered for the event, and Devin made sure to deliver a strong day. It started with 4.75 40, 4.5 shuttle, and 7.34 L-Drill. The combine numbers carried over to the field where was able to pluck the ball out of the air after consistently opening up space from LBs. Devin won with speed on deep routes, including a noticeable second gear out of breaks and when he was looking to pull away on the deep routes. Nettles showed off a really strong base of talent to continue to build his frame, speed, and balance around as he prepares for the fall.

Another freshman I was hyped up to see on the list of attendees is the electric athlete out of Arrowhead. I have heard strong praise for the 2028 RB/ATH, so I can’t wait to watch the entire package. From the combine numbers, to watching him work in individual drills and take the coaching, then finishing with some 1 on 1 battles. I’m excited to see him go up against plenty of talented upperclassmen and see how well he is able to perform against strong competition. Big day ahead for the 2028 RB.

Arrowhead returns their top performing RBs from 2024, but eventually when Devin gets his opportunities we are going to see that Arrowhead has another game-breaking RB working through the program. Devin has the acceleration and top end speed to turn an inside rush attempt into a 50+ yard run as he flies through the trenches and into the secondary before defenders can close on him. Devin already shows off strong instincts with the ball in his hands. He finds blocks, is very decisive with where he attacks, and always is getting up field and picking up yards. The impressive athlete even makes highlight reel plays lining up at receiver. The freshman is a natural athlete that is going to be a big impact in the near future.

Running back, wide receiver, return man. Arrowhead put Devin in every position they could to get the ball in his hands between the JV and varsity teams. The versatile athlete is one of the best in this Class. I highly recommend watching the highlights below. The playmaker traits jump off the tape. Speed to break off the big play as soon as he gets a seam. Vision to find and utilize blocks or set up defenders. His balance and body control also shine as superior traits from making defenders miss to tracking down receptions deep downfield. Devin is a very well rounded weapon that is only going to get better with time.
