It is also imperative for the top talent in the junior Class. That first updated look after 2-3 weeks of the season is the final box to check for a lot of coaching staffs looking to hand out offers to the junior Class. As we approach week three and the eventual distribution of those First 3 Weeks highlight videos we wanted to shine the spotlight on a few athletes in particular that we recommend D1 programs take a good long look at when the film comes out from these kids next week. These 2028s are exceptionally talented and game changers for their teams. They also don't have any offers at the time of this writing. Let's hit play on what film we have for them and take a look for ourselves!

I have been very anxiously waiting to get a fresh look at the monster DT out of Arrowhead, and the Week 1 & 2 highlights don't disappoint. The tools are more impressive than ever. The '28 DL has built a massive frame that is oozing with next level gifts. Zach is able to come out of his stance quickly and the second he twitches off the line he is loaded up with violent power. Power that he has used in the first two weeks to completely destroy pockets and give no room for QBs to step up. He also has done a great job of playing with his hands and creating that space that is key to him disengaging and getting to the football. The big man has done a great job the first two weeks showing that he is very gap sound and will fight relentlessly to get across the face of his OL to stay in his gap and shut down that inside run game. Zach has definitely continued to develop since last season. Coaches, this is an athlete that needs to be very high on your watch list.

No doubt about it, this is one of the top OL in the Class of 2028. Drew is 6'4" 270 lbs and honestly looks as lean as a TE, telling me he has so much room to continue to fill out into a future D1 recruit. Turn on the early season tape and it is clear that Drew fits that dancing bear ideology. It is effortless for him to slide laterally or get depth in pass pro. That ability to mirror and react to pass rushers is excellent. Then when he gets hands on his opponent you see the superior power and he completely controls where they go from the point of contact to the whistle. Plus he has that mentality of wanting to finish guys to the ground and keep them there until the whistle. It is truly all coming together for the impressive junior. Size, athleticism, power, and mentality are all in the right place and on a great trajectory. Coaches this is a must add to your watch list this season.

Right from the first snap of Owen's early season junior tape it is clear he has made big time improvements from his sophomore season. The 2028 TE has made huge strides in his athleticism and flexibility. Compared to 2025 Owen is so much smoother in the open field. His route breaks look much less cumbersome and instead we see him being able to carry more speed through them and open up more separation. After the catch we also see a level of speed that is required for a TE to play high level college football. The violent running after the catch also created some highlight worthy broken tackles in the film linked below. The Waupun weapon has definitely been working this past offseason and is looking more and more like a future D1 recruit. Tap into the highlights below!

Lining up across from a 6'4" 245 lbs DE has to be one of the scariest things on a high school football field. Especially when they have the talent that Mosinee's [player_tooltip player_id='1705445' first='Braeden' last='Mocadlo'] has. It is far more than the excellent frame. Braeden is explosive off the snap, and has overwhelming power in his hands as well as his lower body. That upper body strength allows him to create space or violently shed blocks or hit a pass rush rip or swim. The lower body flashes over and over and he easily drives OL into the backfield before discarding them. The '28 is also a smart pass rusher, taking smart angles and paths to the QB/backfield. Then on top of it all he has the rare athleticism within that frame to be around the football every snap. This kid is loaded up with next level traits. Check him out.

The West Bend West RT is a kid to keep a close eye on. He leaps off the tape with his rare frame that dwarfs the rest of the field on Friday nights. Matching that overwhelming size is the 2028's strength. Christian can dominate DL when he gets his hands on them. When he clamps those powerful mitts onto his man they are at his will and are ending up wherever he decides to take them. When it comes to projecting the big man, I believe the interior would be his best fit. Then he can lean on that size and power to provide a secure pocket as well as dominate in the run game with that power of his. It would maximize his talents.

Pewaukee is always a destination that coaches need to hit up on the WI recruiting trail. That won't be any different with the Class of 2028. OL [player_tooltip player_id='2267818' first='Luke' last='Spitzner'] has already been playing all along the Pewaukee OL this season and imposing his will on DL from every spot. The early season tape shows that the big man fits the makeup of a Pewaukee OL. Big and physical. He is going to be quick in short areas to win the positioning battle vs the DL and then let that superior power move men and open up lanes. The tape also gives us glimpses of Luke having some really solid range to get up to level two and stick on blocks vs those more athletic defenders. Luke is a kid I will be following very closely as he continues to develop and fine tune his game.

Jack is apart of a long line of family success at Sun Prairie East, and the 6'1" 210 lbs LB looks ready to uphold the expectation of excellent. Right off the bat I was blown away by how explosive the junior LB has become. He flies around the field at 100 mph with a motor to match. Jack brings the tools needed to thrive at LB. He is quick laterally and explosive with his acceleration. The '28 has the ability to navigate traffic efficiently and get to the football quickly. The power to drive back ball carriers or shed OL aside flashes plenty on tape as well. Plus he has outstanding range for the position to always be able to chase down the football wherever it is on the field. You really get a feel for the acceleration and speed to power when Jack is asked to rush off the edge. Coaches you have to check out the highlights. The arrow is pointing up for the Cardinal.

https://twitter.com/JackOstrenga/status/2093848009998025049

WR1 is looking the part early in the 2026 season. Gavin lines up wide and in the slot and has been producing from both. I love the first play of the tape linked below. Gavin gets vertical, stumbles, but still manages to keep his feet and track the ball down for the score showing off his ball skills, speed, and balance along with great awareness to make the catch inbounds along the sideline. As the tape rolls on you see him win repeatedly with his silky route running and speed the he carries throughout his routes. The WR1 for Franklin will be one of the top skill players to watch in this class.

Reid is one of the best smaller school athletes in the Class. He plays TE and OLB for D4 Osceola and is off to a hot start in 2026. I was able to watch Reid live in Week 2 and see his talent on full display. Especially at TE where he proved to be a nightmare matchup for the opponent. Reid does a great job of using his size and strength to win on offense. He can easily muscle a DB out of position before going up for the football and high pointing it away from any DBs. The '28 TE brings a massive catch radius to the field and is a smooth athlete who can stretch the field as we saw last Friday night. The two way standout is definitely someone to keep tabs on early this season.

We finish with an exciting RB prospect out of Arrowhead! Devin is a dynamic athlete who is back and even more explosive and elusive than he was in 2025. The 5'11" 190 lbs RB brings a great balance of patience and athleticism to the backfield. He does a great job of allowing things to develop and reading the OL early in the play, but when he finds that hole the junior flips a switch and can accelerate like he is shot out of a cannon. The 2028 RB also has the balance and lower body strength to cut on a dime while picking through traffic at that top speed. Speed that can easily rip off the long gain when he hits the open field. Devin has the vision, instincts, and raw athletic tools to play at a high level of college football. Make sure he is on your radar, coaches!
