We have a little run on edges so we turn to the Class of 2028 for our next athlete.

is one of the best two way players in his class with what he can provide on the edge and as a TE. Today we are using that big frame as an edge. Owen comes off the line at 100 mph and instantly gets his hands involved when he has an OL in front of him. A lot of times on his highlights you see the 2028 get through gaps so quickly he doesn’t have to even engage with the OL. Having his frame as a sophomore and the body control, quickness, and power in one package has Owen looking like a special recruit.

. The impressive TE/Edge has been a varsity contributor since he was a freshman. This past year he ended with 25 receptions, 562 yards and 4 TDs on offense. He dominated on defense with 101 tackles, 16 TFLs, and 5 sacks.
Waupun hasn’t had the same success on the hardwood, but Owen has been able to contribute quite a bit this season. He is 3rd on the team in scoring with 10.1 PPG. He is 2nd in rebounding with 3.4 RPG, and he is 5th on the team with 1.0 APG.
I can’t wait to see Owen with even more targets as a junior. He is so big and powerful, yet has the athleticism to be a dominant and versatile TE. That length and power also makes him a very talented edge setter who has shown he can be a three down player off the edge.

The further we get into this list the more we are splitting hairs because the depth among the top TEs from Class to Class is so impressive. Next up we go to Waupun for their sophomore TE who also has been an impact player off the edge. The sophomore is an animal after the catch. He runs so hard, has a powerful and low center of gravity, and there is no fear if he needs to run behind his shoulder pads. That makes the big man a force in the short passing game. Once he hits the open field you see him flex that speed to beat some downfield angles too. The fact he still has two seasons ahead of him has me very excited for what Owen could continue to develop into just at the high school level. Big things ahead for him.

Owen debuts as our #1 TE/LB combo athlete. He is well on his way towards building a prototypical frame that would shine at either position at 6’3″ 220 lbs, and just as important the rising sophomore has the balance and body control to be able to move, acceleration, change direction and pad level very quickly and naturally. The big frame is also loaded up with power and explosive burst. So much so that he even was able to take snaps on varsity at DL. Owen has the range to be able to rush off the edge and stretch the field vertically on offense then go up and get it at the high point over the defender. Get this kid on your radars today. He is going to be a special talent.
