Twice as Nice: '28s Who Will 2X Their '25 Production

For many that was just the tip of the iceberg compared to what their junior years have in store for us. Whether it be the workload increase, off-season development, or perfect supporting cast around them, things are lining up for several 2028s to see a massive increase in their on-field production. After scanning through the 2025 numbers we have a list of athletes who are in a scenario where doubling their 2025 production looks like a legitimate option. Let's talk about our favorites. Dive in and remember the names!    This might be more of a challenge than a prediction. This is Owen's year. The incoming junior established himself as a top talent among TEs in the state of WI. As a sophomore he posted a great stat line with 25/562/4. That leads the way among all returning pass catchers for a Waupun offense that was among the best in 2025. It won't be easy to double those numbers with the team looking to shift a lot of new faces into key roles, but Owen will provide a safety valve and a big play threat for his new QB.   While the situation may not be perfect, Owen's talent is why I make the prediction that he could double his numbers. The two way standout has a big, strong frame that he can use to create space and box out DBs. He has a great blend of power and speed after the catch too. I'm expecting Owen to be back bigger and better than ever this fall, so I have high hopes for him.     It isn't often that a lineman is included in this type of article, but I love the scenario that Zach is finding himself in this season. Franklin graduated multiple DL this past school year, leaving the door open for Zach to increase his snap count. The DL is already coming off solid numbers for a sophomore DL including 21 tackles, 4 TFLs, and a sack.   Watching the tape from 2025 has me excited for what Zach could do as an upperclassman. He was already flashing the power to rip through double teams and bull rush IOL into the backfield. The '28 IDL is advanced in his hand usage and constantly is able to create separation so he can shed and pursue the football. It is exciting to think about the potential leap that the big man show off this season. He is sure to earn plenty of attention this fall.     This could be a breakout year for the 2028 RB out of Tomahawk. That is bold to say for an RB who already was the leading rusher for the Hatchets with 134/700/8 in 2025. However, the sophomore RB had to share the rock with a few other RBs including a senior who also had 100+ carries and a junior who was right on the edge of 100 carries. This season we will see 100+ touches up for grabs and if Max can take the majority of those then he will be on pace to double those 700 yards.   Turn on the tape form 2025 and it gives you even more confidence that Max could double his numbers with a few dozen more touches. The highlight reel repeatedly shows off Max's speed. Whether it is flying through the trenches between the tackles or getting the edge and winning the race down the sideline. He is so explosive with his acceleration when he gets the ball. If the defense isn't gap sound the 2028 RB can gash them. Keep a close eye on the 2028 ball carrier.     I love the scenario that Tyler Schwalbach will be returning to in 2026. The 6'3" 170 lbs WR is the leading returning WR in terms of production for Kaukauna. In 2025 he put up 19/392/3. All solid numbers, but last year we saw the top receiver for the Galloping Ghosts have more than 3X the receptions and 2X the yards. So if Tyler is the new go to man the opportunities will definitely be there for him. Plus the QB talent that he has to work with should be high quality.   The long WR is an excellent basketball player in the offseason, and you see the skill carryover. Especially when the ball is in the air. Tyler is a natural at positioning and timing when he needs to go and high point the football. He has shown really good concentration in traffic. Plus he isn't just a large catch radius. The '28 WR has speed to his game and also proven he can create sparks after the catch. I'm excited for him to dominate on Fridays.     I love these articles where I can really dive in and research rosters. Without fail, I always come away with a new name or two. This time around it is a special '28 LB prospect who has hit my radar. Brookfield Central ILB Nathan Goeckermann is going to be a name to know at his position. He is coming off 44 tackles, 4 TFLs, and a sack, so it won't be easy to double his tackles, but the other two categories have great chances.   Turn on the tape and you see a 6'2" 225 lbs LB with three down traits. The range is what first stands out as he drops into coverage for an INT then blitzes from depth and still gets home. As the tape rolls on you also see that he can flip the switch and be a force against the run, bulldozing over OL and making tackles. This kid plays with his hair on fire when he is coming downhill. Coaches need to make sure they have this kid on their radars for the Class of 2028.     This is going to be an interesting scenario to watch. Among all returning athletes on DC Everest, Andrew is the leading rusher and receiver. The 2028 is utilized all over the field, but in the end the rushing yards is where I believe he can double his 2025 production. Last year we saw Andrew put up 53 carries for 317 yards in a backup role. The door is wide open for him this year as the Evergreens look to replace a 1,000 yard rusher.   Andrew has the talent to never have to leave the field. He cannot only handle the rushing duties, but also line up anywhere on the formation as a receiving option and create consistent separation. As a ball carrier, Andrew brings that very effective blend of quickness and contact balance. He is able to navigate through traffic, create space, and then burst his way into the open field for chunk plays. I'm confident that Andrew can produce at a very high level as the focal point of the Evergreens offense.     Things point to it being Daniel's time to take over the helm completely this fall. The 6'4" 215 lbs 2028 QB has an elite frame and was able to earn roughly half the production from the Westosha Central QB position in 2025. With the graduation of his counterpart the job should belong to Daniel this fall. In 2025 he produced 439 passing yards and 3 TDs. Marks that he can definitely double up on with a full season under his belt.   Looking back at the 2025 tape it is clear the big fella can sling the ball around the field. When he can be in rhythm Daniel was accurate and able to deliver the ball to every level of the football field. The '28 QB showed he could move around the pocket and reset to get the ball out accurately. This season I will be looking for him to show that he has continued to progress with his technique and see everything flowing more smoothly. If everything starts to come together we could see a massive leap from the 2028 QB.     Milwaukee Lutheran has had recent success producing at the RB position. The next man up looks like it will be Harlem Davis, a 2028 RB with a strong and stocky frame. In 2025, as a sophomore, Harlem put up 39/199/2 while serving as the primary backup. If 2025 is any sort of tell, Milwaukee Lutheran is going to want to run the football early and often. So the opportunities should be there for Harlem.   With those opportunities should come plenty of highlight worthy plays. In 2025 Harlem did a great job of taking what the defense gave him. He was a north-south runner who was going to grind out the tough yards and move the pile while wearing down the defense. With a steady workload we could see more of those grind it out types of carries start to break loose for bigger chunks.     Right now I would call Griffin a hidden gem, but by the end of his junior season that title might be long gone. The 6'6" 205 lbs TE has a very long frame with a massive catch radius thanks to soft hands. While he only reeled in 8 catches in 2025 it was for 263 yards and 4 TDs. That is insane production, but it is also what is necessary when playing on an offense that is as run centric as Regis is.   There are plenty of reasons why I believe the big man can double his numbers, though. The size, hands, and smooth athleticism are huge mismatches for the small school defenses he faces. He is also the most productive returning receiver from the 2025 season, so his returning QB should be most comfortable looking towards him. Also when Griffin gets the football big things just seem to happen, so it would be smart to go to him even more this fall. Don't let this kid slip under the radar.
