Expert Analysis

When I saw that Roman had registered to come compete on Sunday he instantly became one of the athletes I was going to make sure to keep a close eye on. 6’3+” 290, the top ranked OL in his Class, multiple years of varsity experience, and toughness off the charts illustrated by playing with a fractured ankle in 2025. Now that he is fully healthy I can’t wait to take it all in. Frame, body comp, flexibility in his ankles and knees, balance and change of direction, and his anchor strength. I’m fired up to watch Roman verify that he is in fact one of the best OL in the state, not just his Class.

. Roman plays on the interior, and that could delay the offers as teams go after the prototypical OTs. But it is hard to ignore what Roman has to offer and the potential for what he could show this season after having an offseason to grow, get stronger, and develop his game. Holtz already has varsity experience, proved he could anchor an OL and provide his QB with a secure pocket to step up into and also move the big IDL in the run game. We could very well be on the verge of Roman breaking onto the recruiting scene, and I’m grabbing a front row seat for it as Week 1 nears.

. The 6’3″ 260 lbs guard looks the part lining up next to the rest of the talented Arrowhead varsity OL. Once the ball snaps Roman proves he belongs out there with them. Roman has excellent range and mobility, reaching DL and fighting across their face to cut them off from the designed gap. The freshman OG also plays with a stout anchor, especially in pass protection. His use of leverage also accentuates that power to hold his ground. Last, Roman does an impressive job of using his hands in trenches. Dive into this kid’s highlights.
