The offensive line group at the PRZ WI Showcase was a talent rich group. It wasn't the largest that we have ever had, but I have no doubts that every athlete in the group will eventually find their way on to a college roster at some level. It was an impressive display of size, athleticism, competitiveness, and raw power throughout the afternoon. That was headlined by the position's MVP, [player_tooltip player_id='1627975' first='Roman' last='Holtz']. You can dive into his fantastic day by going to the MVP recap article linked HERE.
What a day Cooper had! The '28 OL found himself right there in the running for MVP of the position. He checked in at 6'3" 245 lbs, and really put on a show with how athletically gifted he is. That started with a 9' broad jump, 4.53 shuttle, and a 7.78 L-Drill to go along with a 5.28 laser timed 40.

Positional drills highlighted how natural it is for the sophomore OL to play with knee bend and ankle flexion to keep his pad level low. He fires out of his stance very quickly and has the range to be get out in space and the quickness to be able to work his way to the right leverage and positioning while engaged. Then 1 on 1s was the final stage where he got to put it all together and whoop up on some DL. Cooper did so well moving his feet and reacting to the pass rush of the DL. He did really well using his length and keeping his hands working until he had the inside positioning he wanted. Even at 245 lbs the rising '28 was able to prove he has the anchor and overall power to set the tone in the trenches. Coaches need to make sure they have this kid apart of their 2028 recruiting boards.

Jeremiah is one of the many alumni of previous Showcases to come back for the spring event. Because of that I am able to look back and see the growth. Jeremiah is someone who has made a massive leap this offseason. Just going back to November 30 compared to the camp on Sunday, Jeremiah improved his 40 to a 5.22, broad jump to a 7'9" up from a 7'5", and L-Drill to a 7.75 from 7.88.

The improvement in his athleticism is exciting because that was already his strength on tape. As a 6'2" 230 lbs OT Jeremiah is undersized, but he has learned to create success through his ability to stay on his man in the run and pass game. Jeremiah has long arms and quick feet and mirroring DL is much easier because of it. We saw that athleticism on display in 1 on 1s where he could easy get depth vs speed. I'm excited to see what Jeremiah continues to develop into over the next two years.

I have become a big of Finn's game this offseason. The 6'1" 265 lbs 2028 OL has the tools to be an impact player on the interior of the OL and he flexed them on Sunday. The big man's game revolves around his size and the power loaded into it. That power comes from a strong lower body and outstandingly consistent use of leverage. Every 1 on 1 battle it seemed like he was right underneath his man's chin with hands inside. As soon as he got there and locked his hands on it was over. He could stuff the DL from there or run them past the QB.

I was also impressed by how well he could move in short areas. Areas needed to thrive at OG. Finn had multiple reps where he didn't just stuff the DL, he felt and reacted to counters and lateral movements right on time to stay square on his man. It was a strong showing for the Dodgeville product.

Another impressive 2028 OL from Sunday was Brookfield east [player_tooltip player_id='2112355' first='Jack' last='Ripley']. It was great to see him deliver a great showing because I had high hopes with him being a Top 10 OL in the Class of 2028. The 6'2" 255 lbs OT started his day off with a pair of 5.36 laser timed 40s, 4.87 shuttle, and 8'2.5" broad jump. Numbers that show he can move around pretty naturally, but that was nothing compared to when we actually got to do OL work.

Jack is working his way into being an impressive recruit. As just a sophomore he already has an intriguing blend of power and athleticism. In 1 on 1 reps Jack repped out the ability to move with quick feet, change direction suddenly, and quickly set his anchor to battle a bull rush. Every one of those movements was always supported by college quality power. The second he would land his initial strike you saw the force behind it. Whenever he had to change direction while engaged you didn't see him have to give up ground. It was like his strength was always being flexed no matter what he had to do during the rep to stay in front of and engaged with his man. Coaches at the next level need to ensure they have Jack on their 2028 boards.

I have a feeling that we were able to watch Zach kick off what will be a special summer for him. The 6'1" 255 lbs '27 spent his junior season as the LT for the D1 State Champions. He spent Sunday put together more evidence of the talent he has. Zach started his day with a 5.43 laser timed 40, and a pair of strong broad jumps going 8'4" and 8'5".

During 1 on 1s was where Zach really solidified himself as a top performer of the day. He spent most of his reps at guard and piled up a lot of wins. The '27 showed that he could quickly set a strong anchor and strike. It was great to see him constantly working to reset his hands and staying in control of his opponent while doing it. His experience out at LT has really helped his footwork too as he showed that he could easily mirror IDL as they tried to work pass rush moves and counters. I'm excited to follow his summer because he is going to show that he has the power and athleticism needed to become an impact IOL at the next level. I hope to see him over the coming weeks at a padded event or two.

We wrap up our OL coverage with one final 2028 OL to keep an eye on. Isaiah spent his sophomore season developing on the JV at Sun Prairie East and will be looking to earn a Friday night spot this fall. On Sunday Isaiah checked it at 6'2" 232 lbs with a frame that is more than ready to start adding on the size through the weight room. As the day went on, especially when he started piling up 1 v 1 reps, Isaiah got more and more comfortable.

Rep by rep Isaiah did really well taking coaching and implementing it to start winning more and more reps as the afternoon rolled on. The '28 OL demonstrated that he can be patient and trust his long arms to be able to make accurate strikes and his feet to keep him in position to stay locked on his man. I'll definitely be following along with Isaiah's growth and development.
