Jeremiah is one of the many alumni of previous Showcases to come back for the spring event. Because of that I am able to look back and see the growth. Jeremiah is someone who has made a massive leap this offseason. Just going back to November 30 compared to the camp on Sunday, Jeremiah improved his 40 to a 5.22, broad jump to a 7’9″ up from a 7’5″, and L-Drill to a 7.75 from 7.88.
The improvement in his athleticism is exciting because that was already his strength on tape. As a 6’2″ 230 lbs OT Jeremiah is undersized, but he has learned to create success through his ability to stay on his man in the run and pass game. Jeremiah has long arms and quick feet and mirroring DL is much easier because of it. We saw that athleticism on display in 1 on 1s where he could easy get depth vs speed. I’m excited to see what Jeremiah continues to develop into over the next two years.

This kid excites me so much on the OL. Obviously he is undersized, but you couldn’t find a 1 on 1 rep from last Sunday where that affected his game. The 6’1″ 220 lbs sophomore has a 6’5″ wingspan, ran a 5.18 40, and a 4.53 shuttle. The 1 on 1s is where Jeremiah shined. Jeremiah is so athletic and flexible. He understands how to win with leverage because he does give up size. Between the leverage, active hands, and quick feet Jeremiah was able to stay locked on and square in front of his man all day long. The potential is there. I can’t wait for him to really pop and continue growing into that frame.

Jeremiah now plays OL for Racine St. Catherine’s and is turning in a really sound sophomore season. The underclassman has no trouble holding his own in the varsity trenches either. Jeremiah does a great job of bringing the fight to the DL. In the run game he fires off the snap and wins with power and technique. The technique is key because he is undersized at this point in his career at 220 lbs. There is plenty of time to fill out that frame, though. In the pass game Jeremiah is still able to go on the attack at times. He is quick into his set so he can actually attack DE after getting that depth. Quickness, that nasty mentality, and adequate power have allowed this sophomore OT to be an impact in the trenches.

Jeremiah has been on the camp grind hard this summer, and the clips coming out from that are showing an OL recruit who is coming into his own. He is growing and building a solid frame, currently sitting at 6’2″ 220 lbs and plays on top of some very nimble feet. All summer long Jeremiah has shown that he is able to win the race out of his stance and win the positioning battle to cut off defenders. It has also been great to see him use his length, constantly working his hands and also watching him naturally play with leverage. Jeremiah is just getting started in developing towards what he could be in three years. I’m excited for what is to come in his development.
