This is an interesting situation that I will be following as the 2026 season begins. St. Catherine’s will be looking for several new pieces across the team, so we could see a top athlete like Jovanni filling a variety of roles. My top choice for him would be to step into the WR1 role. St. Cat’s graduates 110+ receptions from their senior WRs, so there is a massive workload opening up for the taking.

Jovanni has the talent to take on a lot of that work. Even while still being one of the team’s top defenders. On defense you see Jovanni dominate with his range and violence. That speed and physicality could create a lot of big plays if you can get him the ball in space too. Jovanni is one of the top 2028s, so I can’t wait to see if he earns more of a two way role in 2026. The opportunities are there.

Rankings Rise: 80 -> 53

Things are starting to take shape for the WR/LB out of St. Catherine’s in Racine. Jovanni is turning himself into a tough 1 on 1 matchup for CBs. In 2024 he made several of his highlights while getting downfield. Those clips highlight his ability to locate the ball and be aggressive to ensure he comes down with it. Whether it be will strong hands or by running underneath it. His strength out wide stood out from the rest of the secondary athletes as he could break tackles or create space with a box out or subtle hip check. His speed also made him a problem off the edge as an OLB. Jovanni is turning into an impact player on both sides of the ball and could find a consistent role on varsity this season.

Projection: Highly ranked in state

A multi-sport athlete that plays at a high level in both basketball and football. A teammate of Zachary Keith Zachary Keith 6'3" | 270 lbs | DL/OL Franklin | 2028 State WI (listed above), at 6-foot-1 and 170-pounds he comes with good size for a Wide Receiver on this level. Equally agile and explosive. Plays Defensive End/Edge/Outside Linebacker on the other side of the ball and brings the requisite physicality.
