Woodbridge clinched their second straight District title in impressive fashion pulling away from cross town rival Gar Field. Sophomore Marquece Sharpe did a lot of the work with 4 touchdowns, showcasing just a number of weapons the Vikings can throw at you. He is ranked in our top 40 with good reason, Sharpe had a night.

has always been a go to playmaker. One of the conference leaders in rushing yards, Sharpe is averaged over 6 yards per carry and 5 rushing touchdowns. He is explosive and will be called upon more as the Vikings approach the postseason. I would expect more teams to try and slow down Woodbridge passing game and that should be beneficial to Sharpe. The Vikings stout offensive line and him running over/around and through defenses come next month will be a site to see.

Ranked 39th overall in the 2028 for good reasons, Marquece Sharpe became a star as a freshmen for the Vikings. He may have saved his best for last, to clinch their first league title in over a decade Woodbridge had to defeat longtime rival Gar Field. All Sharpe did was rush for 170 yards and 2 scores to help lead them to victory. Behind a returning veteran offensive line, I would expect Sharpe to pick up right where he left off.

When I first saw Sharpe play earlier in the year I thought he had a chance to be a major 2028 stock riser. He has since gotten better and is part of Woodbridge squad that has the Vikings faithful with a ton of optimism. Against a solid Potomac Senior defense the freshman had over 100 total yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. Sharpe Jr. has accumulated nearly 500 rushing yards playing a tough Cardinal district, he is a part of an exciting group over in Woodbridge.
