and he lives up to the hype! This young man works extremely hard on his craft and in my eyes, he is the best wide receiver in this class. Desai showcased elite ball skills and tracks the ball exceptionally well. You can tell Desai wants to be the very best on how hard he works on his craft, and it shows come game time. Throughout Desai film he is very fluid on his routes and has elite burst coming out of his breaks. Ferrell is a very well rounded wide receiver who can find the defensive backs blind spot and attack it everytime and will beat the opposing team best player. There is nothing desai cannot do and he elevates his team to another level. This offseason he has been putting in the work to become even better, as I said before Loudoun Sports Academy is building something special there with

. I’m not sure I’ve ever said that for a prospect, this throught the 30+ events I’ve covered in 5+ years. What makes Ferrell’s most recent MVP performance a bit more special than the previous one, is the level of competition Ferrell faced with each rep. No exaggeration, the DB group deployed in Virginia at the most recent Stock-Up Showcase was loaded with talent. About 7-8 names were up for DB Top Performer honors post-camp,

made pretty much all of them look silly during 1v1s. There’s video below to prove that notion. Verified H/W that should sure up any questions coaches have about his frame. A cut-up frame that Ferrell works on heavily, one that moves so well, well enough to eat up cushion fast, practically immediately at times. Experienced in several different releases, Diamond, Jab, Split, you name it. Incredible accelerator, doesn’t telegraph his routes, leaves DB guessing in his wake more times than not, thanks to how well he can disguish his intentions. An unreal separator. Can win against press and off coverage alike. Is a stem-disciplined wideout, one who can mask his vertical routes, can sell underneath all to burn by undisciplined DBs vertically. Doesn’t round his breaks, explodes out of his break towards the ball when needed. I can speak about Ferrell’s game positively ad nauseam. Ferrell takes the top spot on this list.

This kid screams a college football player. His size (6’1″) and athleticism are off the charts. His ability to get off the ball and attack defensive backs is special. Nobody has a chance to stop him when he gets into his breaks, and he starts making defensive backs guard him. He earned a 1st team selection for his performance. It should be a matter of time before he gets a Division One offer; he is that talented a player.

Before he reclassified Loudon Sports Academy was already in the 2027 top 100 and he is poised for a bump in the 2028 group. Amongst a number of prospects who benefitted by transfering to LSA this past off-season, Ferrell really started to come along, particularly when

was one of the best players overall at our Spring showcase and is ranked high at 56th in top 300. Playing for Rock Ridge last season, Ferrell is explosive and has exceptional hands. A student athlete too with a 3.63 GPA, he could be their vertical threat. I would not be surprised if he played on defense too, he is a playmaker.

. Bumping up into our overall top 60 an 8th for the receiver room, Ferrell is on the charge. He is a sub 4.5 40 wideout who turned heads at our showcase last spring, he may start to get offers before his junior season begins. Explosive off the ball if a corner doesn’t get a jam on him off the line then they are going to be looking at his backside. A big play receiver who is bound to dominate in Leesburg this fall.

I struggled picking between Smoot and Ferrell for WR MVP. Ferrell was my pick before the event, I’d argue that Sone, Smoot, and Ferrell were the top performers of this camp regardless of position. Ferrell posted a 9’3 broad jump, proving his lower body explosion in a combine setting for all to see. The best wideout build present, cut-up arms, an arm pumper that can get out of his breaks relatively well for a possession receiver. Strong hands, came down with the most wow-plays at the event easily. Ferrell is going to impress early and late in reps. The sophomore out of Rock Ridge HS won’t be deterred off route at the LOS easily, a DB is going to have to shoot accurately and carry a punch to derail him at the snap. And late, Ferrell can high-point to come away with jaw-dropping catches. I appreciate his performance. His ranking is already solid, yet I’m inclined to see him raise even further after this output.
A minutes worth of clips out of @DesaiFerrell.
Fantastic build, great body control. Consistency caught the ball away from his body.
Some great throws out of @Rpooch12, who was impressive in his own right. https://t.co/CZbwdhcPT1 pic.twitter.com/6oQYwdHoD7

only escalated after his MVP performance this past Sunday. Being named a the MVP out of this loaded group is saying something. Ferrell had ridiculous testing numbers and I do not think he lost a rep in the 1v1s. Check out some of the footage from Vic below, kid is a star in the making.

Solid height and frame with long legs and arms. Good athletic ability displaying good foot speed, acceleration, explosiveness, foot quickness, balance, solid change of direction, and lateral agility. Solid release off the line of scrimmage, accelerating into his route, using his size and strength to beat defenders. Good route running in Seams, Posts, Crossing, and Out routes where he can get into his good long speed and separate from defenders. Solid route running in change of direction route concepts. Good adjusts to throws with good hands, using his long arms to snatch the ball. A physically tough runner with the ball with good balance and strength and willing to take on contact. Overall, a good prospect who can be used as an outside receiver, who is a dependable target for his QB, and who can run the middle of the field routes and secure the catch through traffic.
