was poised and had a strong command all weekend. I swear he looks bigger each time I see him, he is now 6’4 and 205 lbs.. He made a lot of throws particularly on day 1 that shows you how much he has grown as a passer. It seems the expectation may be for him to play for LSA’s regional team, which should do wonders for his college interest.

has not looked back, leading LSA to three consecutive wins. He looks comfortable in this new offense and has been accurate with the football. It is nice to see how Coach Woods uses him to his strength as Walrath throws a beautiful deep ball.

get his opportunity for LSA and he sure made the most of it. Getting the call to start under center for the first time this fall, Walrath lead Loudoun Sports Academy in a blowout win over Hewlett Academy. Throwing for three touchdowns and maybe 3 incompletions, he was in total command all night. I wonder if he will remain the starter for Coach Woods squad the rest of the way as he was flawless in their win.

has transferred in with a chance to be their starting quarterback. The Timberwolves sure seem to have talent in this position group, I like this fit for Walrath Jr., who played well in limited action. He has a big league arm, and makes good decisions in the pocket. Reclassifying with two more years under center for LSA, he is already on the radar for a number of schools.

‘s 2024 season may not have gone as planned due to injuries and a change up in the Spartans offense. He was still elite in the pocket when given the opportunities in my opinion and may have the strongest arm at the showcase. A baseball star as well for West Springfield, Walrath is the ultimate teammate. I for one think he will really thrive during the individual drills and 1vs1s portion of the showcase but will have to see. Either way expect Walrath to have a monster bounce back season in 2025 that will start on Sunday.

has had two weeks to manifest what Hayfield did to him and the Spartans. It does not get much easier in his next game against a South County defense that is tough as nails. I am curious to see how he bounces back and gets the Spartans back on track offensively. My prediction is that he does and the hype train for Walrath continues.

The number 1 quarterback in the class of 2026 gets his first major test of the 2024 season tomorrow going up against a high caliber Hawks defense. You will never see a Walrath back down from a challenge and Brian is no exception, this kid has major upside. Should be fun to see how he operates going against a defense that already has 4 Division 1 commits.

, he really came into his own last fall. Walrath has a cannon and can step into the pocket to deliver a strike, regardless of who is bearing down on him. Standing at 6’3 and 180 lbs. Walrath earned 2nd team All Patriot District honors as a sophomore.
You will remember his name for the next two seasons, he looks like a FCS or higher level prospect already.

was one the last passers on my list to evaluate, his tape ended up having his name leap over all 65 QBs evaluated. I will preface, not by much. The grade between O’Shea, Abernethy, and Walrath is razor thin, with a decision between the three being subjective to what I like to see on tape. Recruiting is going to have to match the high praise awarded via ranking in order for Walrath to retain this spot headed into August and September.
In terms of tape, not many below wowed me more than Walrath. Self-listed at 6’4, 180 pounds. 1,500+ passing yards, 14 scores to five interceptions thrown on the year. Not numbers that are going to blow anyone away, what’s should blow potential suitors away are some of the tight windows Walrath has the confidence to press. Desirable pre-throw mechs and measurables. Is a baseball participant as well. Majority of splash plays come with Walrath operating in 10 personnel sets, yet 11 and even some 12 personnel sets seen run on tape. Love his base and delivery point, ball comes out high behind the ear hole. Base is a bit wide yet this might be a remnant from baseball/pitching work. Phenomenal depth perception, this ranking is complete projection of what I think is to come, based on tape and measurables evaluated beforehand. Names ranked beneath Walrath have outpaced him in terms of recruiting and production, we’ll see if this is still the case come October and November.
