About De’Lonzo
Expert Analysis

I think Hinnant is in for a big year in the middle of the Timberwolves defense this fall. He was good at linebacker for LSA Black, made a lot of plays in the open field. The rising senior is 6’1 and moves really fluid, He had a very good weekend.

De’Lonzo debuts in the Top 200 overall in the State. Plays in a Stacked position. Good Athleticism with good explosiveness, speed, quickness, lateral agility, and balance. Quick acceleration downhill, attacking the line of scrimmage, using his speed, hands, and quickness to rip past the Offensive Line to get into the backfield. Good closing speed on the QB. Solid range in defending the outside run. Shows he can operate in Zone and Man coverages in pass defense. His skill set shows he can be a versatile linebacker playing in both stacked and speed rush edge positions.

Transferring to Loudoun Sports Academy and reclassfying has really panned out for linebacker . Previously at Quince Orchard, Hinnant is a part of stingy defense that is amongst the best in Virginia. He is 6’1 and 215 lbs. with a 4.0 GPA, offers should start coming in before seasons end. Look for him to be added to our 2027 class and quite possibly in the top 150.

Hinnant Adds Physical Presence to Quince Orchard’s Linebacker Corps
Here’s another junior stepping up for Quince Orchard’s vaunted defense. Hinnant flies to the ball and delivers punishing hits, bringing physicality and energy to the heart of the defense.
At 6’1″, 205 pounds, Hinnant already has the frame and athleticism to thrive in QO’s aggressive defensive scheme. Last season, he totaled 31 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and 2 fumble recoveries, a strong showing that hints at his high ceiling.
With Hinnant continuing to develop, expect him to elevate the linebacker unit and help maintain the elite standard of the Quince Orchard defense.

De’Lonzo is a player who’s game I really like, he may get looked over some as he is a tweener size wise but his play is everything you want from a LB.
A yoked up 200lbs Lonzo should continue to fill out with good muscle and I can see him getting to the ~220 range. He can play both ILB or OLB and has a versatile skill set. What I like most about his game is his motor and tenacity. De’Lonzo flies to the ball, can get sideline to sideline and is all over the field. He is also very physical and will drop the hammer! Fast and aggressive, he is quick to close on the ball and tackles through the ball carrier. When De’Lonzo hits you, you know it and he plays with bad intentions. He is a future gem of a prospect in my mind and whatever team gets his services at the next level will not be disappointed.

Hinnant is a playmaker at inside backer for the powerful QO defense. He ended the season with a handful of turnovers, a few forced fumbles and even a blocked punt. He helped QO give 5 shutouts and only give up 85 points this season. Hinnant is a run stopper who meets the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage. Offensively he plays running back and translates that athleticism filling gaps outside the tackles.
