As a Linebacker/Edge he has very decent and overlooked covering skills which led him to the five pass break ups. Benjamin has a ton of potential to be the best player of his class (2029), he lives in the backfield has a very high motor and does an amazing job at beating blockers, taking great angles and setting the tone. I believe this upcoming season he is gonna definitely go up in the ranks and show everybody what he is made of. I had a great time viewing his film and I can’t wait to see how he hits the field this season.

He’s an excellent mover and sifts around the field well, which allows him to consistently be in advantageous positions against both the run and pass. Vanterve is a very sound tackler as well, consistently wrapping up and locking onto the hips of ball-carriers.

He’s pretty versatile as well, lining up at multiple different LB spots for Loudoun Sports Academy last season. As well as the 2nd team defense. His ability to move and run is very evident. He was outstanding the entire showcase, especially during individual drills. Then, during a one-on-one drill, he was good. He did a good job of guarding a talented group of running backs all day. Vanterve is an excellent player who has a bright future.

Benjamin was a surprise to me during the Showcase, a name I did not know prior and a player with good potential for the future. He was very impressive in position drill work. Correctly running them like he was a veteran, and doing so with good pace and athleticism. He gets his feet chopping and legs up & down with pace and can dip, turn, and burst out of COD moves. Ben was also very in control of his movements. Smooth, eyes up, balances and in control. Never stumbling over his feet in drills or getting turned wrong & beat in 1v1s. He has the instincts and mind set of a high level LB already even as a freshman. Benjamin showed good athleticism in 1v1s as well. Able to turn and run with the RBs and stay in phase. If Ben can just fill out his frame and continue to develop his game as he has shown to already be doing so, he will be a camp top performer for years to come. Excited to see more of him at LSA down the line.
