A transfer to Rolesville and a commitment to Old Dominion characterized Harris’ summer, and those things prompted us to consult the film again. Harris’ calling card is his ability after the catch, where he almost turns into a massive running back with the ball in his hands. He’s able to work deep or short, and we like the variety in his route tree.

Harris might not be as well-known as some of the other new tight ends, he’s probably the best route-runner of the bunch and he shows an excellent ability to catch the ball while maintaining top speed to maximize yards after the catch. He has a great feel against zone and the athleticism to create separation in man. He’s got a skill set colleges often struggle to find in tight ends, which should help him on the recruiting trail.
