Typically, the athlete designation goes to guys who play as both receivers and defensive backs, but Zoa is an interesting case. He’s primarily an edge rusher who can contribute as a blocking tight end and H-back type of player on offense. He had a strong freshman season as an undersized speed rusher, racking up multiple sacks and tackles for loss.

To help paint a picture of my logjam of going through prospects, I saw Zoa play in December at AYF Nationals, but still haven’t finished going through all of those notes either. So technically he’s not “new”, but it took me a minute to put it together. The North Carolina prospect linked up with a bunch of talented players from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and beyond. Incredible length as a defensive end. May be a better tight end or wide receiver down the line. Time will tell, but he’s got potential.
