Broadie doesn’t look like your typical high-upside edge rusher. He’s not 6-foot-5 or 250 pounds, but he’s twitchy, compact, and strong. He has a bigger wingspan than his height would suggest, and he uses that length to keep tackles off his body. He can bend around the edge or get skinny when shooting gaps, and he’s one of the best I’ve seen at avoiding being squared up by tackles. He has excellent hand usage and a strong motor, with several of his sacks coming on chase downs from the back side. You rarely see guys use four-point stances anymore, especially off the edge, but he uses it to coil and strike first. He’s bigger and stronger this offseason, so don’t be surprised if you see an uptick in his sack production.

Broadie excelled last year as the secondary pass-rushing option opposite North Carolina commit Zavion Griffin-Haynes, but he played a bit undersized and with a less mature body type. Every indication is that he’s transformed his body in the weight room, and the reviews coming out of SEC camps this summer are impressive. I’d expect a step forward for one of the fastest-rising prospects in the state.

After years of being the No. 2 (although more productive) edge rusher for Rolesville, Broadie is the guy now. He generates a ton of pressures, even if the sack numbers don’t pop out. He’s an elite run defender, and as he continues to put on weight, he’s turned into a Power Four prospect.

Broadie is a bit of a tweener in that he can line up off the ball or on the edge. He did a lot of his damage in 2025 as a stand up pass-rusher, but he can also drop in coverage and move laterally. He’s highly coveted by several top teams in the area, and with a bit more growth, he’s an ideal pass-rushing specialist, with some added ability to play drop coverage or set the edge.

Broadie isn’t your prototypical edge rusher at 6’2″-6’3″ but he has plenty of upper body strength to put offensive linemen off balance and make plays. Broadie is a force in the running game and has a quick get-off to disrupt pl,ays behind the line of scrimmage. His overall production isn’t yet at the level of some of these other players, but he has the upside to have a breakout season oj the field this fall.
