Brown is a physical, sticky defensive back that can really run. Listed at 5’11”, he plays much bigger—closer to 6’2″ with the way he competes at the catch point and uses his length. Brown is currently ranked the #5 defensive back in the state of Virginia according to Prep Redzone VA, and with his move to Rolesville, he should quickly become one of the highest-ranked defensive backs in North Carolina once that transition is fully reflected in the rankings. His combination of speed, physicality, and coverage instincts makes him a prospect to watch closely this weekend.

Salem’s Asaiah Brown Asaiah Brown 5'11" | 160 lbs | DB Rolesville | 2028 NC earned his 12th overall ranking in our last update and he may get a bump in our new one. He looks like a lights out corner already and has 3 interceptions halfway through his sophomore campaign. Picking up an offer from East Carolina this week is certainly impressive, but Brown is due for more. Love this young man’s footwork and ball skills, you are going to be seeing more of him come postseason play.

During the NLA Myrtle Beach 7-on-7 Tournament, Brown was everywhere on the field, making plays and showcasing his versatility.

A key contributor to Oscar Smith’s State Championship run this past fall, Brown continues to shine with Quality 7v7, where he lines up anywhere from nickel to safety and excels no matter where he plays.

A former youth star from the DMV, Brown’s talent and versatility makes him a future Power 4 projection, and you will undoubtedly hear his name throughout his career.
