Will Helms | Prep Redzone Scout
Among a deep receiver group, Martin carved out a role in the slot, finsihing third on the team in receiving. He gets up to full speed in a hurry, making him dangerous after the catch on screens. Rolesville also put him in motion a lot, which help created space in defenses. This year, he could be in line for a bigger role.

Martin’s path to the rankings was an interesting one. While evaluating some of Southeast Raleigh’s talented offensive linemen, Martin stood out as a guy who was seemingly always open. The new Rolesville transfer might have some trouble establishing a consistent role in a loaded receiver room, at least initially, but I think he could carve out a niche as a guy who operates underneath and picks up yards after the catch.

After transferring in from Rolesville, Martin had a solid first season with Southeast Raleigh, catching 16 passes for 251 yards as a sophomore. He doesn’t have a ton of film, but he’s a solid athlete and should have the upside to have a big junior year, thanks to good route-running and speed.
