Ever since his breakout season as a sophomore, Bixby tight end Luke Hasz Luke Hasz 6'4" | TE Bixby | 2023 State OK was considered one of the top overall prospects in the state’s 2023 class. It was clear when you watched Hasz, either on tape or in person, that he had the makings of a very special and rare talent. Fast forward to his senior season and he became an All American and one of the top overall prospects in the country, not just in Oklahoma. Hasz is a great pass-catching tight end but one of the best parts of his game over the last two seasons was his ability and more importantly his willingness to block. He was an absolute menace downfield and he should be a star at the next level with Arkansas.

Bixby All American tight end Luke Hasz Luke Hasz 6'4" | TE Bixby | 2023 State OK saved his best for last in the final two games of his high school career. Hasz would dominate their semifinal rematch with Jenks last week and then carried that over into this week against Owasso. He would finish with three catches for 75 yards and a pair of touchdowns receptions. He caught a touchdown from Kirby and fellow senior quarterback Austin Havens Austin Havens 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Bixby | 2023 State OK late in the game. Hasz earned his way to becoming an All American with not only his abilities to catch the ball and make plays after the catch, he’s always been a physically dominant player on the field. He loves hitting opponents and his downfield blocking has to be considered at an elite level. Hasz went out on top with another state title and a memorable performance on Friday night.

And you can’t have a “Players To Watch” post without mentioning Bixby’s All American tight end Luke Hasz Luke Hasz 6'4" | TE Bixby | 2023 State OK . One of the best prospects in the state, Hasz is one of the best tight ends in the country and has shown why throughout the last three years. He had a breakout season as a sophomore where he was a big part of the passing game. And then this season and last, you’ve watched Hasz show why he’s the complete prospect as a tight end. Not only can he catch just about everything you throw to him and then make plays after the catch, he is one of the best blockers on the team. You can just tell when you watch Hasz play that he enjoys the physicality of football and he seeks it out. So no surprise that he’s become one of the better blockers on the team.

One of several All Americans in this 2023 class is Bixby tight end Luke Hasz Luke Hasz 6'4" | TE Bixby | 2023 State OK . The Bixby standout had a meteoric rise in a six month span from October, 2020 to March, 2021. He went from mostly an unknown prospect, who actually came out to the football team as something to do before basketball season. And by the time we reached March of 2021, Hasz was a true national prospect at the tight end position. He had a breakout season as a sophomore and his recruitment absolutely exploded. We’ve watched Hasz quite a bit, both for Bixby and in the offseason. His blend of size, speed and great hands makes him one of the best tight end prospects to come out of Oklahoma in quite some time. He was once committed to OU but has been committed to Arkansas for a while now.
