Lorenzo Robinson Lorenzo Robinson 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Archbishop Stepinac | 2024 State NY was solid part of a RB duo his Junior Year at Archbishop Stepinac, however he broke out as a Senior when is backfield counterpart went down with injuries. It seemed the more touches Robinson had, the better he got. This breakout included a 200+ yard game with 4 TDs and 5 100+ yard games on the ground. Robinson, a 3-down back can impact the game as a receiver evident by his 300+ yards receiving as well. With a low-center of gravity and a really strong lower body Robinson is very tough to bring down in open space. Robinson has really strong jump cuts showcasing some elusiveness and his burst and explosiveness out of his cuts often throw off defenders angles. Robinson shined in a big role this year and at Lock Haven he brings a 3-down skillset and for a rare player comp from me a run style that is eerily similar to NFL RB Devin Singletary.

The Lock Haven commit had a monster senior season. He had 1,159 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season. He averaged 8.3 yards per carry and was a threat to go the distance anytime he had the ball. Robinson evolved and became a dominant running back during his senior season. He was able to slice and dice through defenses and he developed the breakaway speed to pull off big plays. Robinson is a playmaker and he will be a force at the next level.

Another explosive and productive running back in this Stepinac offense, Robinson will look to have another great year. He is a very tough in between the tackles running back that consistently got yards against some of the best defenses in New York. You can look out for Robinson to be moving the chains a lot this upcoming season. He will be effective in the open field and in goal line situations this season

Stepinac was a pass heavy team last season but you can expect them to utilize their ground game a little bit more with Robinson’s senior year on the horizon. He is an old fashioned reliable running back. Robinson is a guy that will move the chains for the Crusaders all year long. He hits the hole hard and has the ability to make people miss in the open field. He has the combination of strength and agility. Robinson isn’t afraid to be a bruiser of a running back and lower his shoulder to gain those extra tough yards. Robinson has been a starter for multiple seasons, watch out for him to put up great numbers and for his veteran status to show when he displays great football IQ.

It is not often two of the states top running backs come from the same team but Archbishop Stepinac runs a true committee backfield where Osbourne is joined by Lorenzo Robinson Lorenzo Robinson 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Archbishop Stepinac | 2024 State NY as 1A and 1B options for Stepinac. Robinson is a very dominant runner who showcases elite agility and ability to make lateral cuts and beat defenders with quickness. Robinson is super shifty and not only makes defenders miss but uses that shiftiness to find the best running lanes to get up field. Robinson has some sneaky power and does showcase the ability to deliver strong blows to defenders but what he is best at is being a very slippery back who slips through arm tackles and high or low attempts to bring him down. Robinson is a really solid runner outside the tackles because of his ability to make guys miss but also use his quick foot speed to make cuts back upfield and get vertical. Robinson also has really good balance with a low center of gravity where his ability to stay upright when fighting through tackles earns him extra yards.
