About Talib

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a dual-threat quarterback, I like to make big plays through the air but also stay smart with shorter passes when needed. I try to avoid turnovers and always keep my eyes downfield, even when the defense is coming fast. I move around in the pocket to give my receivers time to get open, but if I see an opening, I’m not afraid to run it myself. My speed and quickness help me escape defenders and t

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

As a quarterback, I work hard in the offseason to get better and stay sharp. I know how important it is to stay calm, especially when things get tough,I try to forget the last play and focus on the next one. I play with emotion and passion, but once I’m on the field, I lock in and do my job. Every game is a chance to show how much work I’ve put in and to keep pushing myself to be the best I can be

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Being part of Horace Mann S.T.E.P.S. means a lot to me. I help make our school a more welcoming place where everyone feels included. The program supports students of color and brings people together to grow, learn, and work as a team—just like in sports. It’s all about building a strong and positive community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve grown as a leader through a lot of different experiences, especially on the field. I try to be empathetic and really listen to others, which helps me stay openminded. As a team leader, I focus on working together and treating everyone with respect. I believe that good leadership is all about trust and understanding, and that’s how we all succeed.

What type of college are you looking for?

Attending a high academic school that would allow me the chance to continue playing football while receiving an great education.

Talib Nartey is a young cat who was impressive during the 7v7 representing PLE. Talib made a bunch of throws through tough zone coverages. At a young age he has a clean throwing base and a great sense of reading the defenses he’s up against. Talib has shown that he can put the ball only where his guys can get it. All in all Talib was very solid throughout the Duel in the DMV Tournament definitely a young prospect everyone should continue to watch grow.

Another future star in the making, Talib Nartey Talib Nartey Talib Nartey 5'8" | 165 lbs | QB NY showed he has all of the characteristics needed to develop into an elite signal caller. Watching Talib in positional drills, it was apparent he’s been working on his mechanics and crisping up his throwing motion to get the most out of his arm. What caught me off guard this past weekend was how powerful of an arm Talib has. You would not think a player of his size could muster up 25+ yard throws with ease, but that’s exactly what he did when it came to the live reps.

As Talib gains height and size over time, I think he will make it a very tough time for defenses to slow him down. With the combination of a strong arm and dual-threat capabilities, Talib is going to be a nightmare for opposing Ds.
