Shearing’s blocking mate gets a lot of attention during the year and rightful so but the senior is going to be a major cog in the wheel for Rocky. His leadership and ability to really impact the game at the line of scrimmage is going to be huge for Rocky’s offense this season.

Shearing is one of the top offensive players across the state and checks into our updated rankings as a top five player at his position and just outside the top 15 overall. Shearing is a very athletic tackle prospect that moves well for his size, snaps off the ball and wins with a powerful punch, natural band and nasty finish of the point of attack. He can get to the second level and block in space while also showing good patience and hand usage in pass protection. Shearing has a very advanced skill set going into senior season and he’s a no-brainer college caliber player.

Shearing is the next up rising offensive tackle prospect that shows tremendous position versatility at the offensive line position, and is another very athletic prospect that excels in pass protection and is a high IQ kid when picking up stunts/twists. He recently had a very nice showing at OFFA Academy 5on5 tournament in Utah against some of the regions top talent along the defensive line.

Shearing is a high athletic guard prospect with the ability to play both sides of the offensive line. A plus athlete who moves really well for someone with a 250+ frame. After watching him on film you can see that he has a high football IQ and really solid base. Doesn’t get beat often with any type of push pull move from defensive lineman and excels at stopping the bull rush. Plays with a tenacity and passion on the offensive line that makes him a really good run blocker and should be a prospect to watch this season.

coming through the pipeline. Shearing is a very athletic kid with active feet and hands at all times, stays violent in pass protection and shows he can finish blocks downfield with nasty intentions. Although only a Sophomore last season, he was extremely productive from his guard position, showed he can pull and get out in space/block second level defenders and win one on one drive blocks with good bend, pad level, a strong initial strike and creates immediate vertical push. As shearing continues to pack on weight and get into the 270+ range over the next 12 months, he is another name that will be drawing college interest as he has plenty to offer at the next level.

Shearing is another dominant lineman in the class of 2025 playing at what seems like an offensive line factory at Rocky Mountain. He has a really good compact frame that allows him to really get under defenders and push them off the ball. A plus athlete that really shows off his mobility in the way he pulls and gets to second level defenders. Excels in pass protection where he quick feet allow him to mirror defensive lineman. He is only getting strong and bigger during the off season and will be a monster for the Grizz next year.
