Thompson had one of the best years by any receiver in the state this season and it shows why he is going to be a hot commodity for the next level. He has elite quickness and route running ability where he is able to create huge amounts of separation. He has natural hands and great run after the catch ability while being able to make defenders miss in space.

Thompson checks in second in the state in all classifications at 716 yards. His ability to create matchup nightmares is what makes him so dangerous in the passing game. He is lightning quick in and out of his breaks which makes him hard to cover with linebackers and safeties. Yet he has a strong compact frame that doesn’t allow him to get bumped off his route by corners. Keep an eye on him as the regular season is starting to wrap up and playoffs are approaching.

Thompson might have a shorter stature but his big play ability and crisp route running make him an excellent slot option at the next level. His ability to really get in and out of break quickly are what make him so dangerous in the passing game. He is an excellent route runner that creates separation and then is able to take the football to the house. He has great speed and is going to be a match up nightmare against safeties and linebackers at the next level.

Thompson is an extremely explosive and strong outside receiver that is off to a tremendous starting his senior season for the top team in the state. He has shown big-play abilities downfield and is a very physical runner with a ball in his hands after the catch and runs through arm/ankle tackles with ease. Currently, he is the second leading receiver in the state and has a chance to hit the 1,000 yard receiving marker by the end of the season. He is already up to 486 yards receiving and 4 scores, while averaging nearly 30 yards per reception. Thompson is a very twitchy route runner with outstanding ball skills and high point abilities for his size and shows he can beat press man coverage, while smart enough to settle down in open grass and quickly knife upfield.

Thompson is a defensive nightmare where he uses his elite speed to be a match up nightmare for linebackers and safeties. He can also take end arounds and reads the field like a running back. A multi tooled player that allows him to be extremely deadly.

Thompson has great speed where he is a threat at every level of the offense. A really smooth route runner with the ability to stop on a dime and make plays from bubbles to deep posts. Strong hands that allow him to pluck the football out of the air and great run after the catch ability.
